We do live on the property so often never meet the guests!
Beautiful and remote, but close into town. You'll feel like you are miles away.
Possible to walk to town, but only for for those who appreciate a good up hill walk back (3 miles, mostly up hill for the return walk)
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the cottage for 2 nights and it was amazing! We really enjoyed the calm after spending some days in San Francisco. If you look for a very special place to stay and calmness it's the perfect place to stay!!
We had a great time at the rustic cabin. Woke up in the morning watching a deer wandering around and while having breakfast we were able to watch the kids from the summercamp at the flying trapez. I ended up on the flying trapez as well, asking myself what I was thinking when I signed up. Marek the trainer did an awesome job and so I tried it and it turned out to be one of the best things I have done so far. The adrenalin rush even lasted a couple of days :) So if you stay at this cabin you definetely HAVE to try the flying trapez!!! My boyfriend and I felt really comfortable at the cabin and can totally recommend it...
My husband and I stayed at the cabin for 2 nights. It is very cute and on a beautiful property. Besides a couple housekeeping tasks (couldn't find toilet paper and the shower curtain needed replaced) our stay was great. It was very peaceful and a lovely choice for the Sonoma area. Other reviews mention the lack of cell phone service, and that is certainly correct. There is a land line phone in the cabin. And yes, the road from Sonoma to the property is NARROW and winding. It is a beautiful drive, but go slow. There were some books and games available along with everything we needed to make meals.
We spent 2 nights at the rustic cabin and had a great time. The cabin has a cozy and romantic vibe to it, nestled deep in the hills of sonoma. It's the perfect place to disconnect from the world for a few days as there is no wifi or tv. I'd highly recommend food at The Girl and the Fig in town. Overall a great experience we will remember.
This place is exquisite and is a unique opportunity to stay on a ranch/nature preserve just outside Sonoma. You will not regret this rental. We especially enjoyed the evenings watching deer and turkeys from the deck while we sipped delicious Sonoma/Napa wine (be sure to pack spray for the mosquitos)!
This cabin is located in a rural setting but is not as private as you might expect. It is in a small neighborhood and there are no curtains. That said, all the neighbors are terrific. If you happen to be there on a Saturday morning, we recommend watching the trapeze lessons. If they are not full, you may even get to join a lesson!
My wife and I rented the rustic cabin. It was a truly enjoyable experience. The property is beautiful and the cabin was perfect for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. In fact the entire cabin was fully stocked. Directions to the property were easy to follow. Hassle free arrival and departure, very conveniently located to the Town of Sonoma's town square and tourist destinations.
Our experience here was fabulous. Margie is very communicative and accommodating (we had a lovely time meeting her and chatting at the highly recommended cafe she runs in town), and the space itself is cozy and magical (we spent each night sitting out on the porch looking at the stars and listening to the creek).
If you're looking for a private woodland retreat that is so close to the heart of Sonoma yet feels like a million miles away - this is it!
GREAT location deep in the woods, down a windy road outside of Sonoma. This place is not for the faint of heart-if you like being remote and driving into the hills, really getting away, then this is the place for you. It's surrounded by trees and a little brook; we really liked sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the morning.
Me and my wife decided to book this as our first time using airbnb, and it proved to be a great choice. We had a wonderful time and staying in Sonoma was the right decision. The place was very affordable and incredibly comfortable, not to mention peaceful and quiet. We didn't have any issues getting there or finding the place, although we had a low to the ground sports car. It's a bit of a windy road getting there and to downtown Sonoma but regardless its an easy drive with nice views and conveniently puts your right into the heart of Sonoma's restaurants and shops.
My wife's favorite part was the confy bed and I enjoyed playing the guitar which we found in the Cabin. I would recommend staying here to my family and friends.
