The Lilli Pad is an idyllic retreat in Byron Bay. Ideal for couples, this 2 storey designer pad is close to town and beaches but offers country tranquility. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The Lillipad is a detached self-contained house with no shared space or walls so very private!
Inside the space is airy, light, fresh, modern and has rural views. There are lots of places to chill out including comfortable leather couches upstairs and down. Or you could enjoy a drink on the daybed under the verandah. If you’re hungry the kitchen comes well equipped or you might fancy having a BBQ in the garden.
We provide local info on good restaurants, bars and surf spots, plus anything else that will make your experience a great one.
One of Byron's most popular cafe's is nearby..handy!

Interaction with Guests
We wil be on site to welcome guests... and then guests can decide on the level of interaction they would prefer.
We are surrounded by nature yet only a short drive to CBD/beaches, which is quite unique in Byron Bay!
There is a limited bus service from the main road.
No pets allowed as there are wild birds etc in the garden .
Sorry but the house is not suitable for children under the age 10.
The house really is designed for only 2 people. For this reason rental is limited to 2 guests but if you have an overnight visitor please discuss a short stay with us...we'll do our best to help.
No smoking inside the house.
This is more of a wind down house than a party house. Situated in a natural quiet setting ,loud noises late at night can be very disruptive to wildlife though sometimes the possums, wallabies and kookaburras get pretty rowdy!
We are easy going and reasonable and usually don't like fine print but to avoid confusion for everybody I've set out some....
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payment and Cancellation Policy
Check Airbnb for refunds policy. Balance on tariff not refundable one month prior to bookings or days thereafter unless the property is re-let , which we will do our best to achieve.
Payment of deposit or total fee for your booking indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Seven consecutive nights in the one property will be charged as one week.
The number of guests staying at the property must not exceed the number agreed to in the booking details (2). In the event that any additional persons stay at the property, an additional fee may be charged according to our usual rates and/or we reserve the right to terminate the booking without refund.
Cleaning is included in your payment but if extensive additional cleaning is required, this will be billed through Airbnb. Guests will be liable for any specialist cleaning and dry-cleaning if required.
Properties are non-smoking indoors. We reserve the right to terminate a guest's stay without refund if we become aware of guest's or friend's of guests smoking indoors. There may also be additional cleaning fees to remove any smoke fumes from the property.
All guests are expected to behave in a manner that does not cause distress to neighbours or interfere in any way with their right to enjoy their property. We reserve the right to remove guests who do not adhere to this code of behaviour. In these cases, no refund will be due, and we will not be responsible for finding or funding alternate accommodation, nor will we be responsible for any other associated costs.
Guests may not engage in any illegal activity at the property. The owner or the manager of the property may need access to the property occasionally. We will notify you by email or phone at least 24 hours prior, unless we have made verbal arrangements or it is a matter of urgency. If however we have reason to believe that the property is being used for any reason that contravenes our terms and conditions we reserve the right to enter the property without notice.
Check In and Check Out procedures will be detailed in the Property Information package forwarded to you following payment of deposit. Whilst we are more than happy to provide early Check In and late Check Out wherever possible, sometimes this can only be confirmed at the last minute if it is dependent on other bookings at the time.
You are responsible for leaving the property generally in the state in which you found it on arrival. All breakages or losses should be reported immediately to us. Whilst we will not pursue reimbursement for minor accidental damage, the total cost of making good any other damage or loss to the property, garden or contents will be charged using the credit card provided for payment.
It is our policy to have all locks changed if keys are lost or not returned. All associated costs will be charged to the credit card provided for payment if this occurs. Similarly any remote controls will be replaced at your cost if lost or not returned.
Standard cleaning services on your departure are included in your rates. Properties may also include interim cleaning services for stays of longer than a week. This will be detailed in your pre arrival information. Guests are expected to leave the properties in a neat and tidy state without the need for extensive, excessive cleaning but if necessary extra/ specialist cleaning will be charged using the credit card provided for payment.
Guest items found by our cleaning staff are kept for 6 weeks before discarding. We will notify you of any items we find and ask guest's to follow up on any items that may have been left behind at the property.
By-laws prohibits functions of any sort. Functions are defined as being gatherings over and above the resident guests nominated on the booking form.
Note: Pricing is subject to change, and a minimum stay period and other conditions may apply.
As said before, we are friendly and reasonable. To date, we have never needed to refer to these house rules. They are just here to avoid confusion.
We really enjoyed our relaxing three day stay. This is a really great house, in a beautiful location with a fabulous host, Cass. We were thankful to be in such a peaceful spot, and out of the craziness of 'downtown' Byron Bay, yet only a short drive away to great cafes/restaurants. We appreciated the board games, fast internet and cable TV for lazy days inside. Highly recommend!
We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful oasis. Cass was so warm and welcoming we felt right at home the minute we stepped onto the property. The location is beautiful, it was so peaceful with lots of interesting bird life and woodlands. We would highly recommend staying here.
We highly recommend this wonderful accommodation. We recently stayed for one week & the accommodation perfectly suited our needs. It was a joy staying in very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful garden far from the noisy crowds of down town Byron Bay.
We had a fantastic week here. The place was perfect for our needs -- quiet at night but only a short drive to all the action of Byron and the incredible coastline.
We enjoyed the peaceful setting, super comfy bed and bird life of the neighbourhood. The kitchen was really well equipped with the bonus of a juicer, blender and steamer for preparing healthy meals so you don't have to eat out for every meal if you don't want to.
Cass was a wonderful host -- very accommodating and responsive to all of our needs. We felt very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble for her.
If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and recharge, this is the place for you. A hidden gem!
This property was perfect for what we needed and had everything we could possibly want for a week away. Cass was a wonderful host and was very helpful. It was nice to be able to get away from everything else at the end of the day and provided a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend!
This place was awesome! Where to start?..... Cass was so warm and welcoming and lovely - super flexible with us when we turned up an hour early at check in to do some washing (which she preceded to completely take off our hands - thank you again Cass... We didn't expect you to do that and it was so appreciated!).
The unit is really private and just gorgeous. Pristinely clean and it had absolutely everything you need and more..... The bed was so comfy we could have slept the days away, the backyard is really special and we spent two days just sitting in the sun in the garden reading and listening to the birds - perfect for our little mini moon escape. The location gave us super-easy access into town and the beaches, either by car or skateboard/bike.... And there is a wonderful cafe just down the road - and for breakfast/lunch/dinner you simply have to try The Roadhouse.... Yummy food, excellent selection of beers, cocktails and whisky - and about. 7 minute walk (through the cemetery) from the unit.
It was so relaxing and quiet here, especially given the madness in Byron over the Easter period - we're so happy that we chose to stay at this gorgeous retreat and will definitely choose to stay here again when in Byron. xx

About the Host, Denzil & Laura
We are in London this year. I'm writing and Laura is launching a startup. We hope to be back in Byron soon but in the meantime my Mum, Cass is doing the honours! She has a rich history: travel, careers, business, etc.
Work and curiosity have taken me from Everest to the Sahara, Cincinnati to Copenhagen, Nicaragua to Nagasaki and many places in between. Having stayed in so many places around the world I like to think I've thought of most things that make a visit enjoyable.
Laura and I both believe experiences are the most valuable investment in life, they shape our stories and form our identity. So it is that we constantly seek new ones.
Our work schedule often takes us away but we always appreciate returning to the Lilli Pad to chill out and refresh our spirit.
