Description

The Space

The home is a recently built castle style house located in a choice neighborhood of SLO. It is nestled against a hill where cattle feed in the spring.
Your room is a master bedroom suite. It is very spacious and comfortable and completely private, occupying the entire third floor. The suite comes complete with king bed, desk, office chair, and comfortable arm chairs, and a large bathroom with two sinks, separate tub and shower. The windows of the suite invite the brilliant morning light in when the shades are up and offer a panoramic view of the SLO hillsides.

Guest Access

The guests have use of the terrace off the great room and the patio off the dining area as well as the kitchen and living room.

Interaction with Guests

We love sharing our home with international travelers as well as visitors from other parts of the country. We presently have a guest staying with us from the Isle of Man who is a Viking descendant. He loves to share his many interesting stories from far away and long ago.

The Neighborhood

We're just minutes from downtown SLO and eight miles from the beach. We have award winning wineries within minutes of our home. The wineries from Paso Robles to Arroyo Grande have great tasting rooms that will intrigue the most demanding test buds. Of course, we have venues ranging from championship golf courses to performing arts theaters and a myriad of activities in between, not to mention the many excellent restaurants in our college town.

Getting Around

There is a city bus stop one block away and the local train station less than a mile away where one can board a train for LA or San Francisco. The regional airport is less than 5 minutes away.

Other Things to Note

Whether you're into day tours ranging from Solvang, a Danish community a little south of SLO, to the internationally renown "Hearst Castle", a short drive north of here or just hanging around and enjoying our local culture, your stay with us will be one of lives rewarding experiences. SLO town is bicycle friendly and we offer our guest bicycles to ride and free complimentary wine tasting tickets if they are so inclined.
For your health, all the water coming into our home has been filtered and purified, so that there are no chlorides, florides or harmful toxics that you will be exposed to during your stay.
