The space
Please note: Our listing is for a room within our home. Our bedroom is on the first floor in our home (& the only space that guests do not have access to). Our Airbnb room is on the 2nd floor. If you are not looking to book an entire private home, read on.... 🤗

Join our Airbnb family & absorb the peaceful & loving ambience in our home. Our space is your space. Christmas happens 365 days a year in our home. Our Airbnb family keeps growing and we love serving others through hosting since May 2019. We hope you will allow us the opportunity to provide you with a comfortable, clean and memorable experience.

When you arrive, you will park on the left side of our driveway, closest to our front door. If you bring a second car, you will park tandem on the left side.

Once you are on our front porch and enter our home, you may hear barking from our 2 friendly, low-allergy shih tzu / lhasa apso dogs, Butters & Midnite. In no time, they'll become your best friends (or if you prefer, we can keep them from you).

We appreciate no shoes in the house unless you need them for health reasons. There's a supply of comfy slippers at our front door.

Your room is located on 2nd level where you will have lots of privacy. While upstairs, you can overlook from open balcony our spacious livingroom where you can enjoy lounging. We are very accommodating with your privacy needs versus socialization interests. If you like relaxing with twinkly lights & candles, our home is decorated year-round in every room of home for Christmas. Guests love sitting out on the back porch with the twinkly lights & water fountain going in good weather and surrounded by mature trees and a pond.

In addition to your complimentary Continental breakfast, there are plenty of available snacks & beverages that are included in the price of your room. Please let us know if anyone in your party has any food allergies or sensitivities.

During May through August, you have access to our HOA pool, tennis courts, and pickleball courts. Please ask for details.

Please, no smoking OR vaping in or outside of home. No wild parties...family fun welcomed (there's a closet filled with games and toys in your room). Only approved guests at registration unless discussed with host.

Quiet hours: 10pm-6am (We can provide self-check-In if you need to arrive late).

Check-in after 3pm/check out by 11am (Ask if exceptions are needed).

No pets and no children under the age of 2 as our home is not child-proofed.

If your party is over five people or you simply want to spread out to a second room, we have this 2nd room available which we will rent for an additional fee of $20 per night plus a $10 extra cleaning fee. We never book two rooms at the same time, however, so your party will have exclusive use of the full bathroom on second floor.

Past guests are family to us now & we plan to continue sharing our hearts and home with anyone who stays with us. We look forward to meeting you.

Besides your own spacious bedroom & private bath, feel free to make yourself at home by using living room with fireplace and two pianos (an upright one & a mini-piano for young kiddos), spare bathroom, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, back porch with lights and fountain, & hammock in back yard. During the summer months, you can use our community pool & tennis courts.

Other things to note
We welcome everyone passing through the area and needing either an overnight stay, or a longer stay while on a business trip, or looking to relocate to this area (we've helped several families with their transition to the Charlotte area), or those wanting a fun destination for a vacation. There is a lot to see and do in this area (after you book, if you provide your email, we can send you a calendar of events for this area). Carowinds Amusement Park is just a 5-minute drive from our home & most other area attractions are 15-25 minute drive!

After staying as guests in several Airbnb’s, we've become familiar with what's important. You can expect a clean (& sterilized for covid) accommodation with friendly heart-felt service. Plus, we value communication. You will receive prompt detailed messages before your stay even begins!

Neighborhood highlights

We love this area! Our beautiful neighborhood is peaceful to drive or walk through, with a paved trail and small park across main road. We love being able to hop on the 77 and 485 to arrive anywhere in Charlotte within 15-30 minutes! The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is close and convenient, apprx 20 minute from our home. This does mean that airplane noise may occur depending on the flight pattern. We have a box fan, air purifier and/or ear plugs available for light sleepers. Carowinds is just 2 miles/5 minutes down the road. There's a wide variety of dining options nearby in Fort Mill, Ballantyne, Rock Hill and Charlotte. The US National WhiteWater Center, NASCAR Hall of Fame and Billy Graham Library, just to name a few attractions, are within a 30 minute drive.

Most people would describe Robert & I as a couple with a solid marriage and who are extremely loving, friendly & honest people. We've raised 2 beautiful children and are proud of them. Having grown up in MI and NY, then living 30 years in Southern California, it's very exciting to now live closer to our senior parents and settle in Fort Mill, SC, just 2 miles from the NC/SC border (thanks to Robert's job relocating to Charlotte). Our home is a blessing to us and we wish to share it with others. A few years ago we didn't get our Christmas decorations taken down in a timely fashion yet guests were raving about a Hallmark-looking home in March and sharing that the atmosphere was so welcoming. That's when a year-round Christmas-themed home was born. Feel free to wear your Christmas pj's, snuggle up with a cup of hot cocoa & watch your favorite Christmas movie during your visit. All this being said, if you are a private person and prefer your space & solitude, we will tame our extroverted personalities after greeting you.
