Beach guest house
You can't get any closer to the beach than on it! Roll out of bed and into the surf!
A place of simple comforts, perfectly nestled on the edge of the ocean and opening onto a golden sandy shore, the guest HOUSE is the perfectly positioned to admire the relaxing view of the shimmering Atlantic and the endless African sunshine.
The Guest house is right on the beach!
A new joint UK Berber venture, the house has been refurbished to create a comfortable, casual atmosphere in which to enjoy this fabulous location. Walk out of the front door over one of the four terraces and you are on the sand and a pebbles throw from the mighty Atlantic Ocean.
The weather is roughly 25C to 28C all year round.
Merlift is on the Atlantic coast, has 6 beaches and is great for surfing, swimming, paragliding, other outdoor activities or just chilling out, enjoying the sun and watching the locals! If your ideal break is getting away from it all and seeing real places without the tourist trappings then Merlift is ideal.
At Aftas Beach House we have a policy of supporting local businesses, we also like to listen.
Our guests have told us that they like to get up in the morning, enjoy a leisurely tea or coffee in the house, taking in the sights and sounds of the mighty Atlantic before strolling along to one of the local beach cafes for a traditional Berber breakfast.
We have taken these comments on board and we now provide as much complimentary tea and coffee (available all day) that you can drink, plus a cake or biscuit to fuel you for the short walk to one of the three beach cafes that all serve good and reasonably priced local dishes.
LATEST NEWS!! We have teamed up with a local surf school we are now offering SURF LESSONS!!
Please note that we are 140 Kilometers south of Agadir we are not in Agadir.
Aftas Beach House is not suitable for people with any mobility issues.

Все было великолепно! Отличный дом прямо на пляже. Отдельное спасибо Брэнде за гостеприимство и очень вкусный завтрак:) Рекомендую!
Description is accurate and Brenda was a lovely host.
We did feel like the room is slightly overpriced. Yes, you are right on the beach, but the room itself isn't particular nice or cosy.
Your more likely to hangout in the the shared living room. Obviously relaxing times depending on how busy it is house.
In our case; first few days the house was rather crowed, last few days more quiet which was more of what we were looking for. If you need some peace I would advise to contact Brenda first to check how many rooms are already taken.
We absolutely loved the little cafe on the beach next to Brenda's. Lovely local people. Very friendly, lay back and relax. No pushing tourist kinda industry.
Great location on a small beach. A fantastic spot, great room with terras and a very nice breakfast. The atmosphere, the stars, the vibe.. great! Thanks Brenda!
Brenda is a good landlord and got everything arranged very fast. Everything was well.
We had 5 really nice and relaxed days in room 3 'with the view to the ocean and the balcony just in front - guess we just hung out there and enjoyed the view and the sea and the sun only occasionally interrupted by the nice company of Brenda and Marods cooking and making us feel at home - "live in the dream i.e."
Brenda, Marod: CU - thanks for a lovely finish to our trip though Morocco..
Very relaxing, great place. the best to get reid of your allday problems. a little end of the world, but exactly what you need if you are full of too much of little problems....
What a great stay. I needed to escape work and be somewhere peaceful. I didn't want luxury. I couldn't be bothered staying somewhere expensive with loads of Blackberry users around me and tourist tat. I was looking for a more real experience away from it all. This was it and good value as well.
Aftas Beach House sits comfortably at Aftas Beach just outside Mirleft. This is a truly enchanting spot. I found myself staring out at the sea endlessly - you're stopped in time. Brenda's cooking and hosting was just at the right pitch - no fuss and completely chilled out.
Although the beds are fairly basic, I had the best sleep I've had in years. The sea crashing onto the beach is a lovely noise to sleep to and it creates a sea air that induces deep sleep. Breathtaking views and sunsets, lovely rustic colours of the buildings against the beach and the sky, and a relaxed atmosphere make for the perfect escape.
Mirleft itself is a lovely town. The locals are genuinely friendly. There's none of the touristy hassling that one gets in bigger cities or more developed places.
If you're passing through travelling then plan to stay for 3 nights not 1 night, you won't regret it. And if you're happy with a simple but lovely place to stay for the privilege of an incredible beach and complete chill out then a 5/6 night stay here is a fantastic get-away-from-it-all experience. It's hard to find places like this nowadays.
