We had a great time at Paul's place for my friends' annual winter trip. The house is beautiful and kept very clean. The working fireplace keeps the place cozy and warm. For winter activities - Skiing, ice skating, and tubing are all nearby. And there are plenty of restaurants to choose from for dinner.
This was my second time staying at Paul's Modern Bungalow and it was just as amazing as the first trip. Even better since he added a fire pit and horseshoes! Great location for escaping into the Pocono wilderness! Paul is very open with sharing local travel ideas and an overall great host!
Great host. Paul provided us with a helpful information packet before we arrived. The house was large enough for all eight of us who were primarily coming from New York to have a family gathering. We had a relaxing week at Paul's house. We would definitely recommend.
We had a great vacation at Paul's "Modern Bungalow". The screened-in back porch is great for relaxing and outside meals. The community pool is beautiful and was never at all crowded. The community also has great walking paths. The location was great too -- close to restaurants and a nice state park. Paul was very responsive when one problem related to a public works project came up -- as soon as I let Paul know, he put a stop to the project, and it didn't impact us at all.
We had a great time at Paul's house. There are lots of activities in the area for adults and kids and the pool was great.
The home is very nice and Paul was very helpful in giving us lots of ideas of things to do and places to eat in the area. I would recommend the trip and staying at this home.
Our stay was fantastic.
There was enough space for everyone (and there were 7 of us) to be more than comfortable, with plenty of space to sleep and 3 separate full bathrooms (and one half bathroom) for all of us.
The house has a very lived-in feel; you get a sense of personal history throughout, and with all of the decorations around the house, it's like the place tells a vivid story.
The Wifi signal was strong throughout the house, and there were extra supplies (toiletries, paper, etc.) in the closets, ready to go in case we needed anything. There's plenty of stuff to do in and outside the house, with tennis rackets and balls there for your use, and plenty of hiking nearby. The back patio was terrific and allowed us to have a couple of meals outside, and the grill was easy to use. Paul was a very responsive host and made sure we had everything we needed.
All of the basics (kitchen, beds) were great and comfortable. Overall, I very highly recommend this house to anyone looking to visit the area.
Paul's house in the Poconos is a wonderful place to stay. It's nice and cozy, yet large enough for big groups with plenty of beds. Paul was very accommodating and was a great host even from a distance. He went out of his way to research nearby cross country skiing routes and local attractions for the non-skiiers.
Though it was way too cold for us to use it, the screened-in porch looked very inviting. I can only imagine it would make a spring or summer stay all the more enjoyable!
The house is even more beautiful in person and the surrounding area was great for sledding, hiking and just enjoying the beautiful scenery. Paul was a great host, very responsive to all of our needs making sure we had recommendations for activities and restaurants. We look forward to staying there again in the summer.
This is a beautiful house set in the most beautiful area of Pennsylvania. As a group from NYC, this bungalow was the perfect retreat for my friends and I to get away from the city and be amongst wildlife. There are plenty of outdoor activities as close as the backyard, and Paul was most helpful in sharing what's close and specific to our wants. My friends and I had such a wonderful time and we will definitely be back!
VERY RELAXING!! We had a great time. The house was perfect and their is a lot to do around the area. The waterfalls were beautiful and a perfect way to end our weekend. Wish we had more time to do other activities that are included with being a guest (ie. golf). Perfect for weekend or week getaway.
