Interaction with Guests

I am here to help you plan, make reservations, and address special needs etc. Upon renting the house, I will send you a Welcome Package which details all you need to know about the house, getting around Buck Hill Falls and getting around to special places in the surrounding Pocono Mountains. I also include my personal favorites to help you maximize the value of your stay.

The Neighborhood

Buck Hill is truly a special place. One French couple told me that the combination of nature and architecture reminded them of villages in the Swiss Alps. Once here, if you are like most, you will want to visit Buck Hill again and again.

Getting Around

Public transit
Martz Trailways from NYC to Mount Pocono. The station is approximately 6 miles from the house. Taxis are available from the station (Pocono Cab Co)

Other Things to Note

Great firework on July 4. See renter reviews for that weekend.

Did you know that Pennsylvania is home to more miles of pristine trout streams second only to Alaska? Last year, Forbes listed its “top ten” fly-fishing states and Pennsylvania was one of them. For some of the best trout fishing in the region, Buck Hill Falls is the place to be!

No parties or events
Check-in is after 10AM

Be respectful of house and neighbors.

(1) no smoking indoors (porches are permitted).
(2) Be mindful of the neighbors. This is a weekend community so dinner parties and BBQs are common, particularly in the summer, but generally, keep things under control.
(3) Adhering to the garbage rules is critical as failure to properly dispose of garbage can lead to a big mess due to bears.
(4) The house has a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink and a first aid kit in the second floor bath.
(5) There is to be no tree climbing on the property.
(6) The driveway fits up to four SUVs. When possible use the driveway and aim to keep cars off of the street.

Hi, my name is paul. I host my vacation home via airbnb and am also an avid traveler.

I have lived in some great cities such as New York, San Francisco, London and Amsterdam and with Nelee have explored many parts of the globe. Some favorite trips include surfing in Costa Rica, biking in Vietnam, glacier hiking in Argentina, and paragliding in Turkey.

I work in financial technology and Nelee does cool product design stuff. By accident we discovered that we really enjoy the hospitality business and try our best to help guests enjoy staying at our home.
