We had a great stay. Silvia was very helpful - made us tea on our arrival, helped us with urgent needs for our lil toddler. The views from the house were amazing. All in all - had a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful time staying with Silvia in the Tullaleagan Guesthouse in Oughterard. This was our very first visit to Ireland and we had a family vacation with 10 people ranging in ages from 15 to 76. The house was able to accommodate all of us (as well as other guests) and each room had its own shower. The accommodations were very clean and Silvia was nice enough to adjust breakfast times each morning as we prepared to travel and visit the west of Ireland each day. While staying there we visited the Cliffs of Moher and Burren as well as the Aran islands. Had we had more time we would have visited the Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey. The location was great for hitting all three of those destinations. It’s far enough out to feel as if you are in the country but close enough to drive most places, including a short 35 minute drive to Galway. If you are looking for a spot that you can walk to town, this isn’t it. The country side was beautiful and we were able to pet the donkeys which the kids loved. Silvia was great about offering tips and suggestions for driving around the area and gave us insight into a small road that led us to Rossaveel where we took the boat out to the Aran Islands. During that drive we encountered two farmers moving sheep along the road which we had to maneuver around, it was one of the highlights of the trip! This was our very first B&B we ever stayed at and Silvia made it a great first experience. Thank you Silvia for being a great hostess!
