About this listing
This room is one of 2 guest rooms in our B&B (Bed & BATH) in our appartment in the central Copenhagen. The house is old, so you can expect a lot of atmosphere, rather than modern facilities
NB:The appartment is on the fourth floor with no lift
Our Bed & Bath is located in our big appartment - in an OLD charming house - in walking distance to the Central Station and many of the great sights of Copenhagen. The trip from the airport to the Central Station takes 12 minutes and costs around 35 DKK (4,5 € or 6 $) with very frequent service, 6-10 trains per hour.
NOTICE: The appartment is on the fourth floor without an elevator.
We live in Vesterbro, which is one of the most vibrant and popular neighborhoods in Copenhagen. Here you will find plenty of cafés, bars, coffeshops, galleries, fleamarkets, stores and buslines right outside the door. Furthermore, you will be in walking distance to Tivoli, the waterfront, the city center with all the historical sights, and the lakes with good opportunities for strolling and jogging is just outside the door.
The room is little and cosy, but satisfies all the needs - first of all with a very good bed - of a busy traveller, who spends the days with meetings, conferences, sightseeing etc.
Please notice!: The room is on the fourth floor without elevator.
There is separate, shared, toilet and bath room.
You can use the kitchen to preparing breakfast.
But we can also recommend a lot of good opportunities for breakfast, lunch and dinners in cafés and restaurants just around the corner.
Smoking is allowed on the balcony.
We - the family, including our two children (14 and 16) - love to help our guests with information and tips about how to get a wonderful stay in Copenhagen.
We have run this Bed & Bath during 15 years and met a lot of nice and friendly people from all over the world, and many of them fortunately come back more times.
Guests will have access to the - separate - toilet and bathroom, which are shared with our family.
You can prepare breakfast in the kitchen, and are supposed to have it in your room, as the dining room is primarily used by us.
Interaction with Guests
We are busy people, but we also take us time to chat with our guests about what to see and do in and out of Copenhagen.
What we love about our neigborhood is that it is so vibrant. There's so many opportunities for shopping, dining out, and a lively night life. And when we need to rest or jog outside, we have got the Inner Lakes of Copenhagen, just outside the door.
Most sights in the inner City of Cph is in walking distance, but there are splendid opportunities by public transport outside the door, bus 9A, and from the Central Station to all Europa, in less than 10 minutes walk from our house.
We expect that our guest are aware that they are guests in a private home.
Please don't open the windows and the heater at the same time!
Smoking is allowed on the balcony.
Erik met me when I first arrived and showed me around the house. Everything in the description was spot on. The location is awfully convenient. The bed is comfortable, and the view from the room was breathtaking. Only tip to those who are traveling to Copenhagen during the summer months, lower your shades, the sun comes up AWFULLY early in the morning.
Very comfortable stay in a clean and quiet house. I had to get up for work early the next day and slept very well. Can thoroughly recommend it. Slightly disappointed that I couldn't be a tourist for a few hours first !
Very Nice room, quite and in the middle of the city. Bente and her family gave me very nice welcome, I had a great time, will likely stay there again.
This is a terrific place for a Copenhagen home base! I was welcomed by Bente's 2 children who provided a couple of city maps, showed me around the apartment and also answered all of my questions - wonderful kids! The entire family was very welcoming during my stay (just 1 night).
The room itself is exactly as advertised and overlooks the main street and the lakes. I don't know if it's Danish windows in general, but the windows are so well insulated you could hardly hear any noise outside. The bed is very comfortable for 1 person. Just remember to bring any toiletries with you as the bathroom is down a long hall.
It's about a 10 minute walk to Central Station or to the Forum St Metro station and practically next door to the Det Ny Theatre. There's a great bike rental shop just south and Mikkeller Bar if you like amazing beer.
I'd definitely return back if I visit again and need an affordable place to stay.
I happened to arrive at Bente's place later than I expected because of the delay of my train. However, Bente welcomed me warmly. She also gave me a really detailed direction from the central railway station, so I could easily get there. The location is nice, just across the lake, so I could see a wonderful view of the lake in Copenhagen. The room, actually the apartment itself as well, is spacious, and the interior is also nice antique. I would likely to recommend to stay at Bente's place.
The apartment is very beautiful located in a very nice aera with wonderful views from the room. Very close to the Railway station and to the city center.Bente is very kind and friendly. A high recommended place to stay in Copenhagen

About the Host, Bente
I am a young woman, in the middle of the fifties. I am hosting this Bed'n Bath together with my husband, Erik.
When I'm not working - as a social educator - I am playing with my children (14 and 16), and my husband!, reading books, baking, knitting, travelling.
We, me and my husband Erik, are very engaged in the development of our lovely city, Copenhagen, and will with great pleasure inform you about historical and modern sights, restaurants and concert venues in and around Copenhagen.
We both come from the countryside (Jutland), but are now "city-people", outgoing, happy and love good company.
And love our bikes as any other person from Copenhagen.
