A wonderful place to stay in a charming town. Every corner of this b&b has been thoughtfully touched with Antonio's tasteful design. Each room is unique and has its own character. The views from the beautifully arranged patios were stunning, especially at sunset. And the freshly cooked traditional Mexican breakfast was a welcome treat every morning.
My husband and I stayed for 3 weeks at Casa Cinco Patios in a lovely large room with a desk for our computer and a TV to watch the Olympics in the early evening. We found the walk down to the Biblioteca easy in our running shoes and taxis back are only $2.00.
It was great to have fruit already prepared by Lica each morning along with eggs done our choice of 3 ways. Our room was cleaned each day. Antonio planted several gardens in his B&B while we were there, so our patio was a welcoming site each morning. Antonio also speaks good English so our not so good Spanish was not needed. Antonio was able to lead us to tours and restaurants that we liked. We also liked the other couples we met at this B+B. It does get cool at night in SMA in February so bring a sweater and wool socks!
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic stay at Antonio's place. The house is overlooking San Miguel de Allende from the top of the hill and you get an amazing view of the town both during the day and at night. It is about an 8 minute walk to the main square, and if you don't feel up to climbing the hill to Antonio's place, you can get a cab for only 30 pesos!
We stayed in Suite Los Pajaros - it was extremely well maintained (Antonio has a maid named Licha who cleaned our room) and was very nice to look at. The breakfast was also very nice.
Antonio was a very accommodating host and went beyond the call of duty to help us. He even called the bus company and booked our tickets for the next day, which was a big help.
I couldn't recommend this place highly enough! It made our experience in the amazing San Miguel de Allende perfect!

The house has been beautifully cared for and is immaculate inside. We fell in love with Benito the puppy and his older brother Draco. The view from the various terraces is spectacular and the breakfast of a morning was very nice. If we come back to San Miguel de Allende we'll definitely stay again.
Fabulous place! Great host! The best views! Great room! Antonio is full of positive energy and very helpful. We had the best breakfast every morning on the terrace including my favorite, huevoos rancheros. Our room was very clean and large. It couldn't have been better.
What a great time we had in SM, and staying at Cinco Patios
was a significant part of that. The hosts could not have been
friendlier or more helpful in making sure we were happy and
our vacation was comfortable and going well. Of the five
patios, my husband's was the one right off of the kitchen (of
course), and mine was the one above with a beautiful view of
the city (day and night) and the valley and mountains beyond,
plus a fascinating cactus garden. Cinco Patios is perched part
way up the hill that rises from SM center and a very easy 5-
minute walk down to the Centro where there is so much to do!
To get back up the hill, buses go by, it seems, about every
two or three minutes, and for 40 cents it's another quick 5
minutes or less back home. It couldn't be easier. Or the walk
is not so bad either.
In addition to the friendly hosting, great breakfasts
(Gracias, Licha!), and views, we especially liked the modern
design of the rooms mixed with beautiful Mexican prints and
pottery. And the beds were really comfortable! This is a
great place to stay for anyone of any age, and we will
definitely be back! Christine
