Kishorn is centrally situated for touring the HIghlands of Scotland with Isle of Skye , Plockton, Torridon, Applecross and Dornie all within 1 hours travelling time.
It is also on the route of the increasingly popular North Coast 500 route.
There is access to walk along the beach in front of the house, sit and watch the birds or have a swim if you,re feeling brave!

Guests have access to the kitchen, dining and lounge areas to make themselves at home, they are also welcome to make use of the deck and garden areas.
Interaction with guests
I live on the premises in a flat upstairs with my dog. I work through the day but am around from 6pm for your arrival and am happy to help with advice, suggestions and information on the local area.
I like to allow guests their privacy, however I am always happy to help if needed.
Once guests are checked in I try to be discreet and leave them to chill and relax, I am available upstairs if information is needed.
Very quiet, small crofting village with a population of about 100 people, situated just off the main road to Applecross. Along the shoreline are the ruins of crofting houses and old fishing heritage. It is a very calm place at the head of Loch Kishorn.
There is no mobile signal at the house.
Lochcarron is our nearest village for shopping, 7 miles away. There is a well stocked small SPAR shop and a small shop at Lochcarron garage. There is no shop in Kishorn.
There is the award winning Kishorn Seafood bar which serves excellent, fresh Seafood during the season. There is also the Bealach café serving good coffee and tasty home cooked soups, quiches and cakes during the day.
30 minutes over the Bealach na ba will find you in Applecross, spectacular drive with beautiful scenery and great food at the Applecross Inn.
Single track roads which are very busy in the Summer, so journeys can take a lot longer
Patchy mobile signal because of the amazing mountains.
watch out for deer on the road!
We highly recommend travelling by car in this area of Scotland.
You can take the train from Inverness or Kyle of Lochalsh, the nearest stop to us is Strathcarron which is 10 miles away. There is a connecting bus which will take you to Kishorn once a day.
Citylink operate a bus from Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness which will stop at Strathcarron.

I am a mother to 4 grown up children and now use the space available to offer accommodation to guests who wish to explore and experience this very beautiful part of the Highlands of Scotland. I love where I live and am delighted to be able to share it with others. I enjoy walking the dogs along the beach, reading beside the sea or just sitting watching the birds and the ever changing scenery. I enjoy my garden and Poly tunnel.
I am a relaxed host and like to make sure my guests enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in my home.
I work as a Primary school Teacher.
