Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
A unique space we created by joining two grain bins together to produce a beautiful living space, situated away on our 200 acre farm nestled in the depths of the Shropshire Hills.

They stand by the edge of the Rea Brook that rises on the farm and an ancient stand of oak trees encapsulates your view from the doors of the Bins.

The bins are heated with a recycled log burner and a small amount of electricity is created via solar. A bathroom and shower have been created in a horse box!

The space
Our farm is a small traditional mixed farm of sheep and cattle which has been in our family for over one hundred years. We have a deep love of the farm and its natural environment and have created these living spaces in order that we can share the beauty of our farm with other people.

We used as much recycled materials as we could to create a very quirky living space that was designed as an escape from the modern world and a chance to just be in nature.

The Grain Bin have their own parking and access does not require you to come through the farm yard or passed the farm buildings. Therefore you can be as much 'by yourselves' as you like.

Firewood is readily available, as we do not charge for it in a traditional way, we do however leave an honesty pot in the Grain Bins for you to give a token amount to the time it takes for us to cut and chop wood. You can also purchase from us additional fire lighters, should you need them and the means to light the fire.

If you can coming in the early spring or late autumn, we also provide some additional heating for the bedroom, to make sure you are nice and toasty!

Guest access
The Grain Bins are situated to the west of the farm on a small area of ground that runs down to the Rea Brook and across to the woods. We have fenced off the area and added its own access track and parking area so that you can come and go without having to come through the farm and to provide you with as much privacy as you would like.

Th Grain Bins and the area around them are for your use, so feel free to be as free as you like.

Other things to note
We are a working farm and as such we have sheep, cattle, hens, farm dogs - who are very friendly! - living on the farm. There will be times when you will see and probably heard us herding stock around the farm, depending on what time of year you are staying.

You are encouraged to explore the farm and beyond via the various footpaths and as such we will provide you with details of where these are and if there are any issues with livestock - mostly cattle - during your stay.

Location

Shropshire, England, United Kingdom

Nestled as we are on the side of Brown Clee Hill in south Shropshire, we are largely a forgotten country. Time here is as it was forty years ago with an area of small family run farms, hill farms and a slower pace of life.

Locally, we have a well stocked local shop in the village, a butchers who makes award winning sausages and pies, a garage, post office and a selection of good pubs within a couple of miles of us.

Also we have the Willows Tearooms in the village which is located on community owned land, which served beautiful food and tea and coffee during the day.

Bridgnorth is six miles from us and Ludlow twelve miles and can be reached easily by car on quiet roads.

Walking and exploring the area is a must, as Shropshire is such an unspoiled place that is very much, 'off the beaten track'.

During your stay
As we are a family run farm, there is usually always someone somewhere on the farm. However we understand that you might want just to sit in splendid isolation and therefore we will only intrude on you should you require anything from us or if you have any questions
