Heidi was very welcoming. Hers was a busy household during my stay.
We got along fine. I especially enjoyed the location of Heidi's apartment since I had no car. A pleasant breakfast/lunch restaurant was only a short distance as was a very nice grocery store. The walk to town was further about 25 minutes but no hills.
The location was very convenient, located in a quiet area, close to the highway. Heidi and her girls were very easygoing and we were feeling welcomed.
The house was what we expected: Just fine.
We were a bit surprised to be away from the traditional Houseboat area in an almost industrial area.
Always interesting, peoples perspectives. We are exactly, three buildings away from the house boats on one side and the other two sides there are house boats right next door... We are an old marinship neighbor hood which includes many business, house boats, art studios ect....
Heidi was very mellow and friendly and the rest of her family are very polite and welcoming as well. The bed we slept in was quiet and the room in which we stayed is located below the kitchen area and upper bedrooms and main bathroom. Although you can hear walking above you, the place was quiet and was what we were looking for in the area for a good price. I would not recommend the area to older people who have trouble with spiral staircases because you will need to use them to take a shower. Heidi is very hospitable and easy going and we really enjoyed her pets.
The reservation was canceled 11 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I was in the area for a two day meeting in San Francisco. Heidi's place was very convinient for that purpose as it is right across the Golden Gate Bridge.
This place is a little hidden gem right on the water in Sausilito. Its in an eclectic artist community of mixed used commercial and residential. To the south, there is a great seafood restaurant, Fish, within walking distance. Three buildings to the north, is the entrance to a pier that one can walk out on. Many people live on diverse, creative houseboats that are docked at this pier. Everyone I encountered in the area was very friendly. It felt like a community of happy people.
Heidi and her daughters are lovely and gracious. Their place has a welcoming Zen-like feel. It was very clean. My room was downstairs with hardwood floors, a comfy large bed, and was away from the family, who live upstairs. It was very quiet and great for sleeping.
I will definately stay here again. I plan on spending more time walking along the water and exploring all the nooks and crannies of this unique and charming area.
We visit SF and stay at Heidi’s house for two days. Heidi was an excellent host and we enjoyed the stay. The day we arrived Heidi had organized a Halloween party for her daughter and we are friendly integrated. The house is very comfortable and close to the water. It took us only 20 min to get to SF downtown. Recommend a stay. Thanks to Heidi.
