Priceless! This was our first airbnb experience. It's going to be hard to top it. Katherine and her husband Duson were great. They were so inviting and made us feel so comfortable. She left us the key and we settled in and went fishing from the dock immediately. We meet Duson when we got back and he helped recommend Thai Thai for dinner. The sushi was fabulous! We went on the bioilluminescent kayak tour. We returned around 11 p.m. and they were playing poker with another guest Hemming. We basically hung out and had a few cocktails till 4 a.m. I think Katherine and I might be related somehow! Italians are like family. We had a blast. The house was so beautiful and relaxing. The river view was definitely a perk. We have already shared with our friends and planning a return trip. Cocoa Beach has a million things to do. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Katherine and Duson for setting the bar so high for airbnb. Priceless experience:-)
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, beautiful place to stay in Cocoa, this is it! Located in a private waterfront historic residential neighborhood with all the amenities you could hope for along with a knowledgeable and personable host, made our vacation more than we could ask for. This was our first airbnb experience and we loved everything about it. Thanks, Katherine, for the great tips on dining, directions, activities and making us feel right at home. Truly a great experience!
This was my first airbnb experience. Katherine's home is simply beautiful! The room was exquisitely appointed, and the morning views amazing. I took advantage of the great location, and visited both Merritt Island and Cocoa Beach.
Katherine is one of the most fabulous people I have met in my travels. Although there only one night, I'm hoping to have made a lifelong friend. I stayed up into the wee hours chatting with Katherine, and the knowledge she imparted will stick with me for years to come.
I recommend this to accommodation to anyone: singles, couples and families.
It was simply perfect! The home has a spectacular view of the water and 528 bridge. The patio is so relaxing and even though we didn't spend much time in her home when we were there Katherine was very helpful. Our son who is usually attached to my hip hung out with her on the patio while I got us ready for the road, even offered him some delicious blueberries which he enjoyed! There was another couple there and it was nice to be able to chat with them as well. For those interested, the bed is firm and we slept soundly!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Katherine's gorgeous home! From the minute we arrived, we felt welcome. We were only able to stay for one night but we wish we could've stayed for longer. Katherine was very helpful in recommending delicious local eateries and good beach spots. The room itself was beautifully decorated, clean and had a lovely view of the river. We will definitely be returning!
I had a fabulous, quiet and relaxing stay at Katherine's gorgeous house. The house was clean and well appointed. I stayed in the "Bahamian" room and enjoyed the view of the water and morning sunrises. The private en suite bathroom was beautiful as well. Katherine have some great pointers on places to eat, and I enjoyed them both. Cocoa village was a neat little spot to explore, and the beautiful, not crowded beaches were an easy fifteen minute drive. I enjoyed spending the evening on the dock across the street, especially during sunset. All and all, awesome stay- thanks Katherine!

About the Host, Katherine
Hello, I'm Katherine a well travelled Chef that has been trying to retire for years, but can't seem to get the kitchen out of my blood. In my travels I have had the good fortune of meeting great people that hosted me and remain my friends many years later. Perhaps as a host I can pay the experience forward. I love people, food, fun, a good cocktail and mostly laughing; any kind will do.
I live a simple, uncluttered life, as you can probably see in the pictures of my home. At this stage of my life the only things I collect are friends, love and memories.
My home is not stuffy, please put your feet up, stretch out for a snooze on the couch, my house is designed for COMFORT!
Mutual respect and clear understanding are key.
