About this listing
A lovely, newly built duplex located on small street in the heart of East Austin- 5 minutes walking to east 11st street attractions (Blue Dahlia, Longbranch, East Side Yoga) and 15 minutes walking to downtown attractions and East 6th Street!
Very close to 2 bus routes that take you downtown and to UT campus.
Only 15-20 minutes driving form the Austin airport.
Your Room: Full-size bed, desk, and some closet space. Bathroom is shared only if there are other guests staying in the other room, otherwise that's all yours too.
It's just my mom (in the picture) living there now. She is a cool lady who works long hours at a cultural arts center in town, so expect to have the place to yourself a lot :) I live down the street and am happy to give recommendations for things to do in the neighborhood/around town. We rent out 2 bedrooms, one of which is yours!
We have wifi throughout the house and in the morning we leave fruit, muffins, coffee, tea and juice to help you have a pleasant start in the morning. These are kept on the dinning room table thorughout the day.
*Please note that rates go up slightly for busy times like SXSW, ACL, and Formula 1, but we still manage to be a nice and affordable place to stay*
Other Things to Note
The one week rate of $375 is for one guest. Two people traveling together may take a weekly rate for $650.00.
Kitchen use is welcome for light cooking but please clean up immediately after use as this area does not get cleaned by us daily and it gets used by multiple people throughout the day.

Could not have felt more welcome than by Lindas generous way of being a host.
Really great neighborhood with a lot of small, cosy diners and cafes with good coffee, organic food and free wifi.
Felt right at home! Linda made my experience in Austin an amazing one! She was a wonderful host who was nothing but kind and helpful. The house is beautiful, cozy and clean. It was really close to downtown making it easy to take the bus around the city. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a little piece of home away from home!
Linda was an amazing host - very friendly and generous. The room was clean and comfortable, and the neighbourhood was quiet and fairly close to downtown (a nice ~30 minute walk). Recommended!
Wonderful host and house! Linda was quite helpful with directions and suggestions for the city and made us feel quite at home! Liked the location too.
Very pleasant experience. Exactly like the photos and description. Linda was a very nice and friendly host. Recommend to stay here and would stay here again.
I was at Linda's for a month whilst undertaking research at UT Austin. When I left this afternoon I felt like I was leaving home.
Linda is smart, funny, knowledgeable, caring and great company. Her home is faultless. I will miss lounging on the sofa watching our episodes and eating (me) chocolate. ........
Linda took the time to show me Austin, introduce me to great people, and make suggestions for research outside the library. So, thank you Linda for being you! And for welcoming me into your lovely home. I hope one day to do the same for you (and Chihuahua Charlie).....
A lovely house, an even better host. Thanks for your generosity and making us feel at home.

About the Host, Linda And Lia
Lia - I was born and raised in Austin, Texas where I currently live still. I heart the hell out of music and go to shows as often as I can, I also love to dance and eat delicious food I can't afford. I speak Spanish, wish I spoke French and/or Portuguese. I love to travel, hence the reason for joining airbnb, nice to meet you!
If you're looking to stay at my place, I'm not currently living here anymore, I've been travelling around. But my mom still lives there and runs the house and would love for you to stay!
Linda - Hi! I've lived in Austin for over 30 years via the east coast and Puerto Rico. I have a background in theater and media communications. My home is nice and clean in a very central area. I have an adorable 7lb. Chihuahua, his name is Charlie and he also loves company. I work often and you will have plenty of privacy while you're here, but I'm more than happy to help you get accustomed to Austin in any way I can. Welcome / Bienvenidos!
