  • I stayed here with my 3 best friends, and we were all blown away. It's hard to know where to begin we loved it that much.

As four females, we certainly felt safe, even during the evening as there was a heavy security presence along each lane way that takes you to the villa (plus a security guard in a hut directly opposite the villa during the day).

The villa itself is immaculate. Lisa does a wonderful job every morning of tidying it up, making breakfast, and everything in between (even helping us get to the local clinic asap). The beds were comfortable, air conditioning in each room perfect, and the mosquito nets for each bed more than adequate.

We felt it was in a great location, near boutique shops and gorgeous restaurants (la favela), the supermarket, and a very quick and easy taxi trip to ku de ta, potato head etc.

We loved our stay, would definitely recommend it to others, and if the chance arose, would come back!

  • This Villa was in an excellent location close to great boutique shopping, great restaurants and a supermarket. The service was excellent and Leisa organised transfers, juices, massages and all cleaning throughout our stay. She was helpful with giving directions and anything else we needed throughout our stay.
The pool was great and rooms were excellent.

  • Just returned from a great 7 night stay at Villa Laksmana. The villa was beautiful, very clean and the location excellent. Very close to all the Seminyak action but hidden in a quiet laneway on a rice field. Added bonus was Lisa who arrived every morning with a smile to tend to the villa and she kindly went out of her way to assist us whenever she could. We found a favourite eating spot at the quirky Bistrot at the end of our lane opposite Coco mart and recommend you give it a try. There was a security guy on the corner and I felt safe walking home through the dimly lit lane after dark. Great food at Ku De Ta and mandi lurlur massage at Bodyworks is a treat. New airport had just opened and it took us nearly 2 hours to clear immigration etc. Was pleasantly surprised to see our driver that Maya arranged was still waiting for us. The only thing missing is an ipod connection so take something with you if you need music to survive like me. Excellent all round and I would definitely stay there again.

  • We had a lovely stay at the Villa Laksmana. And our housekeeper Liza was just wonderfull. We enjoyed it very much. The distance to the shopping street and restaurants is about 5 minutes by foot and to the beach about 15-20 minutes walking.

  • Our stay at Villa Laksmana was amazing and contributed to making this one of the best holidays we've had. The villa, as others have said is a bit hard to find, but Maya provides a detailed map, and you can't go wrong if you simply find The Bistrot (opposite Coco Mart on Jalan Kayu Aya - about 100m from the intersection with Jalan Drupadi) and go down the lane way (Gang) to the left side of it - the villa is just to the left at the end of the lane with a rice paddy in front. There's also parking if you do hire a car or moped. Maya can also organise complimentary transport on arrival.

The villa is beautiful and amazingly comfortable. Two double bedrooms with en suites sit out into the incredible pool that comes into the house and out to the back of the garden, with a great podium in the middle where you will be sure to spend some time in the comfortable bean bags.

The living area has a comfortable couch and chair, modern LCD TV with about 50 channels (reception varies - but are you really here to watch TV?) and DVD player. If you have an iPod/Laptop you can quite easily pump your music through the TV with appropriate cables (HDMI / RCA / Mini) as there's no music speakers or similar. Internet and WiFi is quite reliable and adequate, although shared with the villas next door so can slow down if lots of guests.

Bedrooms are extremely comfortable with great queen beds with mosquito nets, air conditioning and simply stunning outlook onto the pool and rice paddies beyond. The en suites are very nice and the showers are great with very adequate water pressure. Reasonable hanging space and shelves are provided in both en suites.

The kitchen has a two burner hotplate, medium sized fridge and a spring water dispenser with multi-litre tank which will be replenished if needed during your stay. Usual inclusions like toasters / kettle / etc. Liza the amazing housekeeper prepares a continental breakfast each day, and can attend to all your desires. She's lovely, generous and there to make your stay perfect.

But as others have said, given where this villa is you are not going to cook much. Located in Eat Central in Seminyak, you are within walking distance of restaurants like Ultimo and Mama San as well as great cafes like Zucchini and The Junction. A very short taxi trip will get you to Ku De Ta, La Lucciola, Potato Head, Sea Circus, Metis, Sardine, Sarong and more. And Jalan Kayu Aya (which the villa is just off) is shopping central with loads of local and international boutiques. Chemists, Doctors, and other conveniences are also not far. Coco Mart at the end of the laneway has multiple ATMs and all the groceries and Bintang you might need.

This is an amazing villa, great value and will certainly live up to your expectations. Very highly recommended.

  • The villa was great, very clean and comfortable. The only disappointment was we were expecting this villa to be up near Sea Circus, Mexicola etc due to the location map shown for this villa however it is a good 20 min walk from there. It was extremely hard to find however the below directions from previous guests was very helpful. Great villa and the lady that came each day was very kind and you barely knew she was there.

  • We had a brilliant stay at Villa Laksmana which is about 200m south of Jalan Kayu Ala (Laksmana) off the main road down a very quiet lane way opposite Coco Mart and next to Bistrot. Getting to the Villa can be a bit of an issue, however Lita provides a detailed map that should guide you there and the other reviews below allowed us to find it pretty easily. You can also get to the villa from Jalan Drupadi as well.

The Villa itself is wonderful value for money, clean and bright, the pool dominates the space and wraps around the 2 identical bedrooms. Each bedroom has a walk in robe and bathroom that is perfect for 2 couples or a small family (as long and the kids can swim). The kitchen comes fully equipped however given the neighbourhood you won't find yourselves cooking very much. Liza our fab housekeeper arrived each morning to prepare breakfast and then set about cleaning the place from top to bottom, even washing our clothes each day.

Location wise is brilliant is you are looking to be close to the excellent restaurants such as Sarong, Sardine, Ku De Ta, Sea Circus, Metis, Potato Head Club and MamaSan all being a short cab ride away but also away from the traffic chaos that Seminyak can be.

Lita arranged or our transfer to the airport complimentary which was great as dragon luggage up the lane way at 10.30pm would have been a drag.

All of our previous Bali visits have been to Hotels and small Villa complexes, however we will always choose a private villa from now given the value for money, location and wow factor it brings. Thanks Lita, highly recommended for the Airbnb community and we will be back (hopefully soon)

  • Villa Laksmana off Drupadi in Seminyak is a wonderfully intimate 2 bedroom villa within walking distance to great restaurants such as Bistrot, Chandi, Ginger Moon and Mamasan to name a few. The layout is superb with swimming pool separating each bedroom. By the way, the beds are fantastically comfortable and we slept really peacefully during the 10 days that we were there. The living area was beautiful and a really cool place to just be ! Our house keeper who looked after the place and prepared our breakfast was a delightful Balinese woman who responded to all our needs for the few hours she was there each morning. Lita our host was wonderful. She organised a driver from the airport and on departure to ensure we arrived with ease. She organised a late checkout at another beautiful villa as guests were due into ours the day we left. Lita responded to every need and certainly assisted to make our stay the fun filled, relaxing and memorable journey that it was. I would go back tomorrow and stay in this beautiful villa given the opportunity. I certainly have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Lita and the villa if you are looking to stay independently in Bali. It was our first experience in Bali outside of hotel stays. No hotels for me in the future. I plan to stay at Villa Laksmana next time. Thank you Lita for a wonderful experience.

  • It was a great stay in a good location, 5 minutes off the main road away from the hustle bustle. Walking distance to lots of restaurants along seminyak. Housekeeper was unobtrusive, coming by every morning to tidy up and make breakfast.
