Where do I start? From the moment I arrived in Bali, Wayan went out of his way to make sure I had a fulfilling experience & that I was happy. Wayan picked me up for the airport & even waited two hours for me to get through customs. I had mentioned to him when I got off of the plane how my cord to my computer wasn't working & he took me to the apple store to try & work it out. When they said they didn't have any chargers on stock, Wayan was kind enough to let me borrow his charger throughout the week. When I arrived at the house in Wayan's village, I knew I was going to have the most cultural experience possible. The house is simple, yet beautiful. Every morning I put a fresh frangipani flower in my hair that had fallen fresh off of the tree outside of the house. Right outside of the house there are some rice fields, which I was lucky enough to be there while they were planting the rice. There is an outdoor kitchen, but I preferred Wayan's cooking (for a very fair & cheap price). I am vegetarian & he cooked me the best Indonesian vegetarian meals possible. Restaurant quality food, for sure. And his wife makes delicious organic juice, especially mango. The house didn't have wifi, but Wayan let me purchase a wireless modem off of him from his store that I could even bring with me as I ventured out of the village so I could get wifi on my phone as well. Wayan is such an accommodating host & he really cares about his guests having the best experience possible. He even invited me to a wedding in his village. That was an experience that I could not buy & that I will never forget. I didn't have to worry about a driver or a taxi, because Wayan drove me around to all of the places I wanted to see while in Bali, for a very fair price. His family is so kind as well. If you really want to have a good, worry free, cultural experience in Bali, stay with Wayan.

Hi, I'm Wayan Widnyana. I live in Kemenuh in East Ubud, with my family of wood carvers.
One interesting thing about me is that I worked for 8 years in the US as Japanese Chef! I am happy to be back with my family in Bali and with my beautiful new bride.
I have several different types of accommodation available, from private, luxury villas to rooms in my own home where you can experience the authentic Balinese way of life. Come learn wood carving and Balinese cooking with my family and help prepare for a Saraswati or Galungan ceremony with us. Or take a bicycle ride around our village to see the beautiful rice paddies and Petanu river. Definitely, you will leave with many cherished memories and new friends!
Salamat Datang de Bali!
