We (couple with 2 year old) stayed in Manuel's apartment for 10 nights in July 2014. The apartment is in a great location, next to the beach and very close to the town, which has plenty of bar/restaurants. The apartment was very clean and had all necessary conveniences for our stay. Portosin has lots to offer, with many beaches nearby and our 2 year old really loved the two playgrounds in the town. We would have no hesitation in recommending Manuel's apartment.
Excellent location to get away from it all. Clean and comfortable. For people with kids, this is an excellent location and a great apartment because it has bunk beds and two bathrooms. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a wonderful beach experience, as the beach is literally only 30 seconds walk from the apartment. Portosin is also a good spot to visit Noia, the Celtic ruins and Porto Do Son, all worth visiting. Manuel was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this apartment.
This apartment was very spacious and quiet. Our family of 5 were very comfortable and enjoyed taking surfing lessons, hiking to the waterfall, playing on the beach and eating at Pietro's while the girls played in the playground outside. We had everything we needed in the apartment and enjoyed walking just out the door to the beach. The town is a bit sleepy but everything you need to relax and enjoy some down-time is available for you.
This apartment is in a fantastic destination for a quiet, sunny holiday. We went in the beginning of Oct at the end of season to avoid the tourist crowds.
This is a lovely, clean, quality apartment directly in front of the beach with great facilities - including cooking equipment, washing machine, TV, extra sheets and blankets, comfy beds, two bathrooms (great for sharing with larger groups) a fantastic view, friendly locals and bus services to and from the main town. There a couple of local Supermarkets and shops but if you head along the main road for an extra 5 mins (towards Noia) then you will find a large Supermarket with more options and better prices.
We arrived on a Sunday and because of the limited bus services Manuel's wife came to pick us up in her car in Noia which we were very grateful for. I would suggest picking up the bus times in Noia before you head to the apartment as it's hard to find the info once you get there. You can visit Santiago de Compostela and other areas with the bus services which are frequent and inexpensive.
The scenery is fantastic & surrounding beaches incredible. You can lounge on the beach, cook the seasonal food, eat out in the local cafe bar's and restaurants, walk in the mountainous hills and admire the architecture of the local houses and buildings.
The food is amazing, including the local cheeses, breads, pastries, fish, tomatoes, licor de cafe (coffee liqueur) and wines both very tasty and incredibly cheap!
Manuel and his wife were very helpful and provided everything we needed including a welcome package of fruit and some meat, veg and milk in the fridge. I highly recommend this apartment not only for it's quality but it's location as well.
A big thanks to them both for providing a great holiday experience! Our only regret is not staying any longer!
This is a wonderful apartment with a beautiful beach just opposite. You simply cant go wrong with the location if you want to explore the surrounding beaches.
Unfortunately we had only three days to stay and would have loved to spend more time here.
