Suminski Innski is a three-storied, historic house with a wrap- around porch overlooking the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains. Parquet floors, crystal chandeliers, marble fireplaces, ornate moldings. Tons of art from local painters and photographers. Walking distance (10 minutes) to the village's 9 different eateries, bars, and bakery. There are plenty of beautiful hikes to be had around the area. On-site catering is available for parties of up to 50 people. The entire house can be rented for $1200 a night. Van shuttle service and tours available. Tivoli is halfway between the Rhinecliff and Hudson Amtrak stations, a twenty minute drive in either direction. The house has been 99% restored over the last decade (starting in 2003) after being largely abandoned from the fifties through the nineties. It was originally built by an ocean ship captain who settled on the shore here and operated a ferry service for all the East West commerce in the area which ran until the fifties but when the bridges were built over the Hudson, the traffic moved there and Tivoli became a ghost town until it's recent revival.

My first time in the USA and what a beautiful introduction! The Suminski Innski is like no other magical place on earth! You feel all the love when you step inside. And I have fallen in love with it and all the beautiful people there, now friends, who make it so special! Thank you Tim, Amelia, Pearl, Molly and Andy and all....I will be back for sure....much love to you all , Cookie xxx
Cute old house in a cute neighborhood. We just let ourselfs in where Tim left a welcome note with our room number. Very charming house and room. The shared floor bathroom had an old claw foot tub. This was the perfect room for the night while we were in town for a wedding.
"to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.” -Howard Zinn
I came across this quote when I got home today and I thought it summed up my experience of the Innski pretty well.
The Suminski Innski was such a incredible place to stay--we couldn't have made a better choice. Tim is an amazing host and a legend around town. He was so helpful and made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. Breakfast was delicious and everyone we met in the house was a delight. We will definitely be back to Tivoli and will most certainly be staying at the Innski when we do.
I lived here for 1 night. It was such a lovely experience! I'm a student of Bard.
The host is very friendly and nice. The room is big and comfortable. I love the decoration style of the whole house! And it's very near to Hudson River, so best views.
My family and I had a great time at The Summinski Innski--I honestly could not have asked for anything better! We were looking for a local experience when visiting my old college campus nearby, and so relieved to find someplace other than a Best Western, and this place is immeasurably better. The aesthetic is both charming and authentic, with real art on the walls, beautiful antique furniture, and crystal chandeliers--yet the atmosphere is relaxed. We felt very welcome by the friendly hosts, and enjoyed delicious and abundant breakfasts. My kids loved watching the chipmunks run around the grounds and and the trains whistling by across the street, all with a dream-like backdrop of the Hudson in front of the Catskills...we will be back!
Great funky place right on the Hudson. Amazing vibes and incredibly welcoming hosts. Totally Tivoli.
