The Space

This room has a queen sized bed over-looking the garden with a shared bathroom.

Suminski Innski is a three-storied, historic house with a wrap- around porch overlooking the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains. Parquet floors, crystal chandeliers, marble fireplaces, ornate moldings. Tons of art from local painters and photographers. Walking distance (10 minutes) to the village's 9 different eateries, bars, and bakery. There are plenty of beautiful hikes to be had around the area. On-site catering is available for parties of up to 50 people. The entire house can be rented for $1200 a night. Van shuttle service and tours available. Tivoli is halfway between the Rhinecliff and Hudson Amtrak stations, a twenty minute drive in either direction. The house has been 99% restored over the last decade (starting in 2003) after being largely abandoned from the fifties through the nineties. It was originally built by an ocean ship captain who settled on the shore here and operated a ferry service for all the East West commerce in the area which ran until the fifties but when the bridges were built over the Hudson, the traffic moved there and Tivoli (email hidden) until it's recent revival.

  • This is an amazing house on the Hudson River. Tim (email hidden). We loved his historic, unique Inn which is over 100 years old. It's just minutes from Bard College. This gem is conveniently located in Tivoli, NY near Red Hook, Annandale-on-Hudson, Rhinebeck and several other towns. The breakfast is excellent and we enjoyed meeting the other guests. Even though it's near the train tracks, you will sleep like a baby! There are plenty of interesting restaurants and shops, not to mention biking, hiking, kayaks, and relaxing on the porch overlooking the Hudson.

  • A wonderfully convenient location to anyone visiting Bard College. Our room at the inn was VERY comfortable and even with a shared bath there was no standing in line! Breakfast was excellent with each person's or couple's being individually prepared. It was cold and wintry when we were there but I can imagine that in the Spring and Summer the large front porch would be exquisite! Tim the inn keeper is the nicest most accommodating fellow one would hope to have as a host.

  • We highly recommend the Suminski Innski. Our room overlooked the garden and had an extremely comfortable bed, a welcome retreat after 24 hours in the car. The coffee was delicious and Mr. Voell was very gracious, even offering to feed our daughter who picked us up in the morning. The home was eclectic and inviting. Highly recommended.

  • The Innski was the perfect place for my friend and I to stay while we were in town for a nearby wedding. The house is just beautiful, and the setting and vibe were perfect for us to relax after 5 days in NYC. Tim's breakfasts are amazing as well - so happy that we were able to find such a gem of a place to stay!

  • Tim's place was great, just what we needed for a last-minute getaway from NYC. Would definitely recommend!

  • This would be the second time staying at Tim's house, and again a pleasure being immersed in his extensive art collection strewn throughout the house. A sprawling, 3-story vintage home that features a winning view of the Hudson River and close proximity to the Fisher (email hidden) and Santa Fe Restaurant on Broadway St. A casual breakfast buffet is served alongside a large round table where you can meet and talk with the other guests. A vintage BnB stay worth recommending!

  • After reading all the great reviews about the Innski we were looking forward to a great night, but we were disappointed. While the room was fine, and the house was fun we weren't warned about the very close and very loud communter train that came blaring through at 1 am + startled us awake. Two more trains passed through after that one in the middle of the night. After a not so restful night, we came down for breakfast at 9:30 and no one was there. After waiting till nearly 10 and still no one, we had to leave to find breakfast so we could get to our desination. This experience did not leave us with positive feelings about our stay.
