Located in the historic Joslyn Castle neighborhood, this newly renovated private apartment, in the basement of a century-old fixer upper, features a retro mid-century modern décor. Stay in and chill out with new furniture and a full kitchen, or stroll to the nearby Blackstone District and Midtown Crossing for bodacious dining and engaging nightlife. The space has easy access to the Old Market, College World Series, UNMC, and the interstate. You're sure to be one cool cat in this fantastic pad!

The space
This comfortable one bedroom apartment is in the basement of our 100 year old home; but with its high ceilings, exposed brick, and mid-century modern stylings it has a contemporary loft feel. The apartment has a private entrance, office area/work space, large bathroom, and an open-concept kitchen and living area. The fully stocked kitchen includes snacks, microwave, refrigerator, gas oven and range, keurig with coffee and tea options, pots and pans, utensils, and all your cooking basics. The TV in the living room is equipped with Roku. In the bedroom there is a queen size bed that will give you a great night’s sleep.

Neighborhood highlights

The Joslyn castle neighborhood is an historic section of midtown Omaha. The castle grounds are always open to the public, with beautiful gardens and picnic areas. The castle opens to the public for tours on weekends. The neighborhood is easily walkable, with local food stops including Amateur Coffee, Lisa's Radial Café, and Sweet Magnolias Bake Shop. You can also stop in at St. Cecilia's Cathedral, and learn about the history of Omaha in the cathedral museum.

Also within walking distance is the Blackstone District, which hosts numerous restaurants and bars, and has a great nightlife scene. Visit Archetype Coffee for some java, and Coneflower Creamery for the best ice cream in town!
