15-20 min walk to city. It is located in the Bath Avenue area of Sandymount, one of Dublin’s nicest areas – it is a very safe, relaxed area while being close by to everything that’s going on. There are lots of nice bars, cafes and restaurants within 3 minutes walk. It is also right beside the Aviva Stadium (about 2 minutes walk) – the atmosphere on match days is fantastic. The RDS, Grand Canal Threatre, UCD, The O2 and Trinity College are all within walking distance. It is 5 mins walk away from the OFFICE "where we all search for things". There is a swimming pool just down the riverbank and the beach made famous by James Joyce is a 10 minute walk.
The DART (rail line) is a couple of minutes walk away.
Getting around is easy - you can walk to the city centre or take a bus or Dart (train). You can also hire bicycles on the street. Dublin-Bike scheme depot, (3 day pass €5, rent free for first 30 mins, small charge thereafter). You can pick them up at one depot and leave it at another depot.

The property is very central to everything the city has to offer and is also close to a very nice beach. It is a 5 minute walk to the OFFICE where "we can all search for things".

This was our second stay at Cepta's house and we thoroughly enjoyed it, as we did the first. We had two weeks to holiday in Ireland and we spent our first two nights and last two nights at Cepta's house. Cepta is the most considerate and generous host. She lives next door and is always available to answer questions or give advice. The house is spotlessly clean and spacious yet warm and cosy. The back patio picks up the sun and is pleasant to sit in. Cepta made us feel very much at home with beautiful flower arrangements, lovely fruit and generous kitchen supplies to help us settle in. It was our son's 25th birthday and Cepta showed him a selection of local restaurants and booked a table at the one he chose for us. Cepta also advised us on a pub in Dublin where we could listen to traditional Irish music and wrote out instructions to find it. We had a truly memorable and fun celebration. On our departure Cepta booked a taxi to take Sue and I to the airport and invited our son and his partner to have a late check-out as their flight was not until later in the afternoon.
Sandymount is a great location. It is a short walk to Sandymount Villiage or down to the bay and not too big a walk into Dublin CBD. We had a great time staying at Cepta's house and we cannot recommend Cepta too highly as a kind and generous host with a lovely house for her guests.
We were a group of three that stayed here for one night. Cepta was a great host. She welcomed us upon arrival and showed us around the house. She gave us directions to get to the concert venue we were going to as well as recommendations for restaurants and bars on the way, She also left the fridge stocked for breakfast the following morning which was a pleasant surprise! The house itself was very clean and a nice size. It was in a great location for everything we wanted to do in Dublin. I look forward to staying here again in the future.
We have a nice stay on Cepta's little House with fresh bunch of flowers. She give us a warmth welcome. There was something to eat and drink for us in the fridge. The house is little but really nice and great for a few nights to stay! I like especially the little terrace for the breakfast. Cepta is a friendly host and really accommodating. Thanks a lot !
We had a very pleasant stay at Cepta`s apartment. Before we arrived she had given us directions for getting there and was there to welcome us upon arrival. She took the time to show us all the amenities of the house and give us a few tips on the local area. The house was very clean and nicely decorated, with a nice little patio area that caught the sun.She had also stocked the fridge with items for breakfast which we unfortunately didn`t use as we were all a bit fragile from the previous night. It is right on the doorstep of the Aviva stadium, which we were visiting for the football, and is situated in a quiet street with some nice bars and restaurants close by.Cepta is a fine host and would highly recommend this property
Cepta is a very gracious host and warmly welcomed us into her home. Cepta very generously supplied lots of special things in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms to help us settle in and enjoy our stay. We were very comfortable and the house is spacious yet warm and cosy. The location is great to walk to the village and shops of Sandymount or a bit longer walk into Dublin. Cepta was very helpful with directions, maps and lots of helpful information. We are very happy to be staying with Cepta again at the end of our holiday in Ireland. We very highly recommend Cepta's house and we will stay here again we hope.
Cepta was a cool host. Upon our arrival she gave us a handful of useful tips and welcomed us with a fridge full of stuff for the next breakfast (with a bottle of wine on top of it:)). Later she did not interfere with our stay. The rooms are quite small but cozy. Thanks for a nice stay!
My family and I enjoyed our stay in Cepta's apartment. The house was beautiful, tidy and spacious and the neighbourhood was safe and quiet. Cepta was also very helpful in giving us information of the apartment and transportation.
About the Host, Cepta
I am a stenographer by profession but have worked in the media for the last number of years. I enjoy cooking and my passion for gardening knows no bounds. I am a well traveled person with lots of cultural interests and lived outside of Ireland for a number of years. I am really interested in architecture and read a lot.
I live very close to the offices where people "help others find things" - if you are coming to work there and looking for accommodation you can stay with me. I will be able to help you with lots of information on how to find permanent accommodation.
