Interaction with Guests
We live on site and are always on hand for our guests. We recognise that some people who visit just want to get away from it all and be left to their own devices and enjoy their privacy, or sometimes
we enjoy nothing more than getting to know our guests - especially around the campfire in the evenings, its nice to unwind and chill out with our guests.
It is such a peaceful quiet, tranquil place, time even seems to stand still, and you can't help but be engulfed by nature and the stunning surroundings.
There is a local bus stop, approx 10 mins drive away that can bring you into Killarney or Killorglin/Tralee.

If there are other guests staying we ask that late in the evening you would keep noise to a minimum and be respectful of others.
Fantastic. No other word better describes the experience we had with John & Vikki below the tallest peaks Ireland has to offer. The yurts are works of art themselves and well equipped. Would stay again and hopefully will!
Our previous two stays were amazing but this one is going to be our favorite. We so want to come back and stay longer. John and Vikki were wonderful hosts and the extra food basket was fantastic. Their place just feels magical with the incredible views, cozy yurt, campfire pit, and adorable animals. If I could put a mule on a plane, I'd have put him in my luggage.
Spending a weekend in Vikki and John's Eco Farm is an amazing and valuable experience for me and my family. Eventhough the weather wasn't very accommodating during our stay, the yurt is so comfortable and warm. With a 5 star view of the Carrantuohill right in front of the yurt, this is a great location to relax and enjoy the nature. Their resident pet, Blamp the Sheep is also a joy to play with. I'm hoping to return here again with other friends when the weather is nicer and their second yurt is ready.
Our stay at the farm was amazing. It truly is a unique location, where you can breakfast looking at the devil's ladder and BBQ as the most comes over the cross on carrigtohill. The accommodation is very comfortable and warm even in April. We had three kids under 5 with us and found all facilities to be excellent. If you really want to get away, this is the place for you! John and vikki and family are excellent hosts and provide a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended and will be going back!
Sleeping in the Jurte was really comfortable and we even had a heater so we never were cold. It was a really really great panorama and a fantastic nature. We went on great hikes and there even was a pub nearby with great live music. People eating in the pub stood up and sang on their own. The Farm itself was very peacefull, we could feed the alpacas and donkeys. We had a barbecue and made a bonfire, the local lamb meat was delicious. Vicky and John were the kindest People we met in Ireland yet.
If you can, get yourself a few free days and visit their Eco Farm.
Vikki and John's Eco farm is beautiful, respectful of nature, and has one of the most breathtaking vistas of Ireland !! They both are in love with there place as are their lovely daughters which makes this a warm and welcoming place despite the cold weather of this incredible island of theirs.
Luckily for the next occupiers the tents will be equiped with nice heating stoves, which had remained the small (really small) minus of our stay.
What a fantastic time we had staying at Carrauntoohill Eco Farm. We stayed with our 3 boys who are 5,3 and 7 months. The boys loved all the animals and the nature & fairy trail. We appreciated Vikki & John joining us at the fireside one night. The view was amazing both during the day and at night. We really really enjoyed our stay and without a doubt we will be back. Thank you Vikki & John for having us.
