Jessica was a brilliant host and her loft apartment is great! Very friendly and excellent communication made booking with her a breeze.
The apartment was clean, spacious and inviting. All the amenities you need and a very friendly cat made for a very comfortable stay.
Can't rate this apartment highly enough. Would definitely come back again without hesitation.
Jess was a fantastic host. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating even before arrival and made the hand over very convenient for us.
The place is great and the location is amazing with main subway line pretty much outside the front door. Several small local shops within 1 min walk prove really good for supplies, even on Christmas day!
The neighbourhood was fine and were walking around in the early hours of the morning without any problems or concerns.
During our visit we chose to look after Victoria the blue/grey cat and to be honest, with us being away from our own cats over the holidays she helped make our stay even more memorable. Such a funny personality but so loving, I would say if you like cats and Jess offers, catsit. She's no trouble at all and VERY affectionate. If you're not bothered with cats or don't like them jumping on to where you sleep, then maybe pass on the catsitting.
That said, the place is pretty spottless so you wouldn't even know a cat lived there if you opted out of the Victoria-sitting or were worried about fur and allergies. The cleanliness of the place anyway as well as being tiled and boarded means that should not be a problem at all.
Jess was just so easy going about our stay and really conscious that we were on holiday rather than just cat/house sitting which made us more comfortable about staying in someone's home. She was also very easy to contact if any questions or problems arose (which did once!) but she was great about it and really really helpful.
As this was our first experience of Airbnb and I can imagine that Jess has set the bar really high as a host but being such a credit to the service means that we will be definitely be using Airbnb again on our next travels, even within the UK.
But if we were ever to find ourselves back in NYC we would stay there again in a heartbeat, with or without Victoria!
We just returned from our weekend staying at Jessica's place. Jessica was a wonderful host. Our stay at her place was a bit last minute, but she made it easy to arrange and communicate with her, and she was very honest and friendly in our correspondence. These attributes continued when we reached her apartment. She met us there, showed me in and introduced me to her delightful cat (pre-arranged to be home while we were there, of course). Then she volunteered her parking spot to us before she departed. Checking in took just minutes, but we had everything we needed and felt very welcome.
The apartment is just as described and pictured in the listing. If anything it feels more spacious and luxurious than you get from the images. It is a very unique space, and one that we really enjoyed. The sunlights let in beautiful natural light and the roof deck is quite private. The apartment was immaculate: tidy, clean and arranged with a creative eye. The couches were comfy and the bed was made up with soft, cream-colored sheets.
The neighborhood seemed vibrant and safe. There is an amazing donut (and ice cream!) place across the street, and lots of coffee/bagel/breakfast options within less than a block.
My family of four (husband and me, and our two daughters - ages 4 years and 8 months) had more than enough space. Jessica left a blow up mattress for my older daughter so we didn't need to bring one ourselves. Her sweet cat made herself right at home with us, and was gentle and smart with the girls. She was curious, but didn't let them come too close. (We have three cats, so my girls are accustomed to them.) She purred right up to my husband and I, though, and was warm company, though not a nuisance. (Again, we pre-arranged the cat's presence, as we are accustomed to them we didn't need to ask the kitty to leave.)
Our departure was even easier than our arrival. I texted with Jessica to make arrangements and we were able to get on the road as soon as we were ready with no waiting.
If we return to Brooklyn in the near future we would certainly contact Jessica about renting her place again. It was easy, conveniently located, and a delight!
Beautiful apartment conveniently located right next to the L train station. Place looked even better in person. Jessica was very accommodating and accepted my reservation with very short notice. Thanks for everything Jessica I'll definitely be back!
Großartige Location in Brooklyn Williamsburg West.
