Michael, Ann Marie's husband, is very interested in local culture and history, his favourite thing being Genaelogy so if you have any connection with the area he will be able to help you!
We are happy to have you SMOKE ON THE PATIO OUTSIDE where you can also enjoy a complimentary coffee or tea!
Shower door and bedroom window to be opened for a short period after showering
Thank You so much!
Michael and Ann-Marie made the stay what it was. They provide the hospitality we all know and love in the "Homes of Donegal". Perched on the Wild Atlantic Way for those travelling that well-worn track. There are opportunities for celeb spotting out and about if you're so inclined, however, the cliffs of Sliabh Liag will probably distract from that. Great base for exploring southwest Donegal, Gaoth Dobhair, Árainn Mhór, and Sligo. The hosts know where to point you for activities, food and drink. The downstairs annex is spic and span. Above all the freedom to come and go coupled with the relaxed feel add to the experience. Directions were really easy to follow.
CIARAN AGUS CAOILEANN
Thank you so much
we are thrilled with your review!! So pleased you liked everything and yes Caoileann you would have struck gold if you had gone to the Regatta as your favourite 'shoe lady' was there! Maureen and Pete had the pleasure!
KINDEST REGARDS POSSIBLE
ANN MARIE AND MICHAEL
Both Ann Marie and Michael are incredibly warm and inviting hosts. The ensuite room is lovely and Ann anticipated my Texas blood might be a bit cold in Ireland and went out of her way to bring me a hot water bottle. Located in a lovely village of about 900, the house is well within walking distance of a few shops and pubs, and proper restaurants are a short drive. The downstairs rooms can be rented as a pair and having access to a private kitchen and sunroom was an added bonus.
I highly recommend a Stay in Annie Secret. The place was beautiful and Ann Marie made us very welcome. We arrived later then expect and Ann Marie was there to welcome us. The surrounding countryside is truly beautiful. We were sad we only got to stay two nights as we felt there was so much more we could of done. I have no problem recommending Annie's secret garden to Family and Friends. Accommodation was 10 out of 10. Scenery & Location 10 out of 10. Service and Hosting 10 out 10.

About the Host, Ann Marie
We are an active couple who enjoy walking and cycling in our beautiful countryside especially choosing the routes where we are directly looking onto the sea. In Winter or Summer it is spectacular!
We love to cook and try different dishes and work in the garden. Ceili dancing is one of our favourite ways to exercise and lately we have been learning the old Sean Nos dancing which is enjoying a bit of a revival. We love going to our National Games of Football and Hurling and then that evening watching all the highlights on TV and discussing them. Michael was priveledged to play for the County of Donegal for 13 years and still maintains his fitness by cycling , gym work, and walking our friends two dogs Guizmo and Molly three times a week.
We have a great interest in our national gaelic language of which Michael is a native speaker.
Ann enjoys painting gardening playing Badminton, knitting, and decorating the home. Of course we love to travel when we can with France being one of our favourite Countries in Europe ... the USA being next but now that we have discovered Air BnB we will be making it to lots more destinations in future ... God willing!
