Very cool, private and secure, self-contained studio flat in Camden NW1 with own entrance, kitchen, washing machine and shower room. Comfortably fits two and perfectly located for Camden, Hampstead, Primrose Hill with easy access to central London...

The space

The studio is completely self-contained and newly rennovated. It has its own entrance and access. It is hidden from the street in an award winning modern, new build house and due to location and privacy, an ideal base for holiday or work.
Entrance from the street is via fob access, you walk down a cobbled path and down some stairs by the main house, all completely hidden from the street, private and secure, into a decked light-well to the full double window opening front door which you will have sole access too.
The studio is about 150 square feet / 15 square metres. The space has been architecturally designed to maximise efficiency and provide all you could need.
It has a fold down, Murphy, bed with a Sealy Regal Backcare mattress, with 300 thread count sateen woven cotton bedlinen, which neatly conceals itself in the cupboard during the day.
When the bed’s up, the breakfast bar / table and stools come out, simple and easy for a quick meal or a cup of coffee.
The kitchen has an electric hob with extractor and oven, Neff Microwave, Dualit toaster, Waring Blender and a Majimix kettle. It has an integrated fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine. There’s wine glasses, tumblers and champagne flutes, plates, side plates and cutlery for 6, a stove top espresso maker, some mugs and more stainless steel pots and pans than you’ll ever need…
The shower room is compact but, efficient and the sanitary ware exclusively Toto. It's a fixed temperature sensor hands free tap, like you get in a washroom, so can be a tad aggressive.
The floors are polished concrete, there’s a jute rug, storage and clothes rail with hangers.

Interaction with guests

We live in the main house, but you've no need to even see us unless you wish. My wife and I have 2 young children, we both work from home and we're both London born and bred, so if you have any questions, need any a suggestions, directions or anything at all, we'd be happy to help.
The kids are 5 and 7 and lively, there's a bit of a rush to get out of the house at 8:00 on a school day, but hopefully any noise from that will be offset by how quiet the place generally is.

Other things to note

Check in time is anytime from 15:00 (until about 9:00) and check out is by 12:00.
For longer stays, cleaning will be charged weekly at £20 per week as well as at the end of the stay.

Jonathan and family were the most gracious of hosts! They were friendly and made sure we had a very pleasant stay. The apartment itself is just as pictured and described - very comfortable and it has all that you might need. The location is ideal - a very quick walk to the hustle and bustle of Camden Market, and a short train ride to just about any place in the city. We had a wonderful visit and hope to stay here again on future trips!

This listing is completely accurate, and the space is perfect for an extended stay for one person. I spent six weeks in the flat (work trip), and found that the amount of space and amenities offered were exactly what I needed. Jonathan and his family are very friendly, yet completely unobtrusive. Five stars all around!

We had a great time staying at Jonathan's flat. The location is great, very central to all north London. The house itself is modern, great architecture, and very unique for the area. Jonathan was very welcoming and eager to help with any questions and logistics. Access to the flat itself is below the ground level, so somewhat lacking on light and windows. Nonetheless, everything was exactly as described, perfectly clean and a great spot for a short stay. Would absolutely recommend this flat again.

I loved staying at Jonathan's flat! The check in process was really easy, Jonathan was very fast in his communication. The flat is exactly as pictured. Comfortable bed, good shower, very neat and tidy, easy access to public transport and a lovely little park for when the weather is nice. Perfect for me on my week long business trip. I will definitely look to stay with Jonathan next time I'm in London. Highly recommend!!

My wife and I loved staying at Jonathan's place. It was clean and new. Professional enough to feel like a cosy hotel but with enough amenities to feel like a temporary home. We made full use of the kitchen--the blender was especially welcome!--and it was great to have a washing machine in house too. We absolutely recommend Jonathan's studio flat for anyone who wants to be close to the hustle and bustle of Camden and in a central location for visiting the rest of London.

Jonathan was an excellent host and provided us with a lot of helpful, useful information. The location, Kentish Town, was ideal. His home is a three minute walk to a main thoroughfare that has countless restaurants, banks, grocery stores, nightclubs, and an underground/overground station. The apartment was quiet and separate from the main residence which allowed for late entry. We were also three or four Tube stops away from all of the main attractions and within walking distance of Regent's Park and The Camden Lock. I would recommend this location to anyone who loves the quiet, neighborhood charm of residential London and wants convenient access to Westminster's attractions and trains to the airport.
