In the heart of Negril, super view to the sea and the 7 miles beach, even the far away village Orange Bay. House built uniquely into tropical nature, no direct neighbors, double gated, super safe, very private, luscious garden, dogs, free parking on property.

The space
The large upstairs loft has an all around view, contains of a large bedroom, king size bed, laptop table & chair, rocking chair out of leather, artwork (paintings and sculptures). All furniture in bedroom, spacey bathroom and kitchen is custom designed built in and handmade out of pine wood. Bathroom has lots of closet space, kitchen has stove, toaster oven, fridge, table, chairs and is fully equipped. The loft also features all around verandas, a roof garden, a sundeck for sun bathing and star gazing as well as a small pool. The style is Jamaican, natural and built right into nature. You look down to a luscious tropical garden with lots of different fruit trees, flowers, bamboos and huge cotton trees. 6 dogs share the garden with native birds; one hammock is in the garden to use, dogs are friendly and will like your petting. There is one hammock upstairs on the front veranda for you to enjoy the lights of Negril beach by night.
A large library (english, geman, jamaican) can be used.

Negril, Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica

Westland Mountain is the secret hot spot for travelers, it's close to town and the beach (15 min. walk). It is located at the beginning of Westend and has a small beach at the bottom of the road, right at Canoe Bar, a restaurant to be recommended. The community has a church, small shops, original fishermen's houses and residential villas, owned by Jamaicans and foreigners.

I'm a German/Jamaican living in Jamaica for more than 30 years. I am a nature lover but I am also interested in art, culture, music, science, alternaive health care and cooking. I am very interested in different cultures (anthropology, psychology). I love the Jamaican culture, their happiness and their humor and the way they deal with language: in every day life, in the music and even in the radio shows ( I have radio on 24/7, not too loud though). Jamaicans are very proud of their culture in a positive way which I admire. I read a lot, like to go to the movies (theatres in Montego Bay are nice but rather far away) and go to the frequent live reggae shows. I do not travel much anymore. I am very happy here as Negril offers the beauty of nature and also has an international flair, different types of restaurants and is still a small town where people know each other. Love it, love the tropics.

During your stay

I will definitely greet you on arrival. You have your own separate entrance to the upstairs loft. I live downstairs all around the year and will be happy to help you anyway I can (arrange transfers from and to airport, give you taxi rates, arrange or conduct tours to places to see in the area or the entire Jamaica. I can wash your clothes for US$8 a load.
