The space
Your rental is for exclusive use of the entire property. The Dolphin House layout has two separate entries, ideal for a romantic getaway or a group that desires privacy among guests. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms.

The Main Entry opens to spectacular views from the living room, kitchen, dining area, reading nook, and king suite. There’s also a partial-view from the queen+twin suite bathroom.

About seven steps away under a covered patio, The Guest Wing door opens to a large family room, a queen suite, and an ocean-view king suite upstairs.

Outdoors, there’s a large deck, hot tub, hot water shower, and teak chaises. A shaded stone patio features a teak dining set and two hammock holsters. There’s also a stainless-steel gas grill.

Nice Amenities:
All beds feature Sealy PosturePedic or other top-rated mattresses plus 800—or 600-thread-count sheets made from sustainably-produced 100% cotton. All towels are also sustainably -produced 100% cotton. We provide natural, earth-friendly bath products.

The Internet is ATT UVerse's highest speed available, with a Wi-Fi booster.

Accessibility: The entryway and rooms in the main part of the house are wheelchair-accessible and stair-free. There's a half-stair at the Guest Wing entry and a flight of stairs to the Guest Wing King Suite.

Italian burr grind coffee bean grinder.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire property: Main house, Guest Wing and all yards.

Other things to note
* Why a variable pricing policy? This allows a couple or small group to pay only per person, not for the full capacity of eight guests. Many of our guests are just one couple and we love hosting them, so we have tailored our pricing to serve parties of two. Our base rate is for two guests; there's a fee for each additional guest. You can modify your guest count any time before you arrive, and your rate will be adjusted accordingly.

No visitors: Only paid guests are allowed on the property. Drop-ins, photographers, babysitters, cooks, or service providers are not allowed. Contact host if you wish to invite visitors or service providers on the property for a day-use rate.

Children are welcome, but the house is not childproofed. Electronics and furniture may not be moved. Children under age 5 are not allowed in hot tub.

Minors under the age of 21 are not allowed to be alone on the property without an adult present.

The beach is accessible by a dirt path on the other side of the house next door. The path crosses a creek, and there can be shrubbery and fallen brush. It is not appropriate for wheelchairs or guests requiring mobility assistance. Sometimes, the beach is sandy, and other times, it is mostly stones.

Some non-essential vintage amenities may not be fully functional, such as the pinball machine, antiques, etc.

Neighborhood highlights

The Carmel Riviera is at the gateway to Big Sur, about 24 miles north of Post Ranch Inn. Pebble Beach is 8 miles away for the ATT Pro-Am golf tournament, Concours d'Elgance, Car Week. Point Lobos State Park is just over 2 miles, historic Monterey, The Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Carmel Valley wineries are a short drive away.

There are no street lights, which allows for beautiful views of the night sky and sea. Big Little Lies Seasons 1 & 2 were filmed in our neighborhood. Brad Pitt owns the rocky house up the road.

For essentials, the local 'General Store' is about a 5-minute drive; Safeway supermarket, CVS pharmacy, and the restaurants and shops of The Crossroads and the Carmel Barnyard, which cater to locals, are a scenic 5-mile drive. There are several body treatment, massage, and salons at the crossroads.

The beach changes with the weather. Sometimes, it's full of sand; other times, it's full of stones. Sometimes, there's a rushing creek; other times, it's just a trickle.

Cell phone reception can be weak in this neighborhood. We recommend turning on Wifi calling and turning off cellular service.People come here to enjoy serenity and privacy.
