"Coolest Place to Stay in San Francisco"- California Home and Garden Magazine.
Dear Guests,
My listings are for ADULTS ONLY over 18 years old: NO EXCEPTIONS whatsoever so please don't even ask.
The Lookout was designed with the quiet and mature adult in mind, the guest who is looking for a respite in the City, for a place to catch up on much needed sleep and restoration between working, visiting relatives, or exploring San Francisco.
Many of my guests arrive with jet lag, so please- no kids (no infants/ toddlers/ children or teenagers) under 18 years old and no pets. No smoking. Two adults maximum. No parties.
Thank you for helping to ensure a quiet environment for all of us.

Garden Lookout details:
The Lookout is at the rear second floor of my home and looks out over the garden to the raised vegetable beds and large grassy area with mature plants and a manicured lawn.
Lots of sunlight, fresh air and greenery. Private, quiet, yet steps from City living.
• No cooking- the "Coffee Bar" is perfect for a continental breakfast, or a glass of wine with a cheese plate (small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and tea kettle).
• New 32" Sony Bravia HDTV with cable and HBO.
• WIFI throughout.
• Very clean; new carpet and paint. Sound insulation in walls and floor. New double paned windows-- quiet!
• 100% cotton sheets, double bed, European style down comforter and duvet (hypoallergenic duvet available- ask me)
• Full size ironing board and iron
• Washer / dryer in adjacent laundry room
• Blowdryer
PARKING: If you plan on bringing a car please tell me ahead of time so that I can show you where you can park on the street or across my driveway. A small or compact car is easer to park, there is free parking on the street. Ask me about the street cleaning days and the two hour restricted parking area (common all over San Francisco).
• Close to Mission Bay (three minute walk)
• Whole Foods, Airbnb, Zynga, Salesforce, Uber, Lyft etc.
• "Gourmet Ghetto" a block away, many excellent restaurants and cafes
• World Series Giants stadium a 20 minute walk
• SFO 20 minutes by taxi
• dry cleaners, postal service, cafes, clubs, and restaurants all minutes away on foot
• public transit within one block

No smoking or smokers. No kids, no pets, no parties, no commercial use such as photo and video shoots, thank you!
Two person maximum occupancy.
Check-in 2PM, check-out 11AM

PLEASE READ THE HOUSE RULES
•No smoking on the property
• No one on the premises under the age of 18 (no infants/ toddlers/ children or teenagers- including with adult supervision)
• Two adults maximum per listing
• No partying- please respect that other guests may have jet lag and are sleeping or napping- or that I may be having clients over for business (my architecture office is in the back cottage). We all can get a little too loud with too much to drink so please don't drink too much!
•Keep the street door locked at all times
•No photo or video shoots or commercial use whatsoever- this is a residential property and my insurance could be voided if you do so (plus it's inappropriate- this is my home). Personal photos are welcome.
• No pets
• No parking in my neighbors' driveway even for a moment, please ask me to show you where to park:
PARKING: If you plan on bringing a car please tell me ahead of time so that I can explain to you where you can park on the street to avoid a ticket. Please try to rent an Economy or Compact car-- spaces can be tight otherwise.
Thanks you for not blocking my neighbors' driveways even for a moment-- it's a point of concern for me as they will be very upset!

Guest Access

Please enjoy the beautiful garden! Have a glass of wine or cup of coffee on the chaise lounges. There's a laundry room available, ask me to show you where it is

Interaction with Guests

I live in the main house and my architecture office is on the property so I'm around, we can chat and have a cup of tea or glass of wine in the garden if you have the time.

The Neighborhood

The north slope of Potrero Hill is know for its sweeping views of downtown San Francisco, sunny weather (sunniest in all of San Francisco) and easy access to the best parts of town. We also have some of the City's most excellent restaurants just a block away. The neighborhood is a cool mix of homes and businesses, some warehouses, and lofts.

Getting Around

Take the Third Street light rail to points downtown including North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf, the Ferry Building Marketplace, Chinatown, and downtown, and take the 22 Fillmore bus to the Mission and the Castro and points west. Public transit is very close to the Lookout. Uber and Lyft come within minutes of making a booking.

Other Things to Note

The Lookout is situated in a very unique to San Francisco setting, surrounded by a lush walled garden. You'll feel like you're visiting wine country. I'm pleased to have honeymooners, business travelers, and my neighbors' family members staying with me.
