Located in the heart of Wicker Park (all of the best restaurants, shopping, and bars), this awesome clean hip apartment has everything you'd want for your stay in Chicago. It's got wifi, wide open space, the cutest kitchen ever, a back deck. Tons of street parking, and conveniently 2 blocks from the Damen Blue Line CTA station (a 24hr train line...you can stay out late).
This area of the city is called Wicker Park and its home to some of the most creative and interesting people, shops, restaurants and culture in Chicago. If you're a hipster, then this your place for sure!
We have nice fans to keep you cool this summer, and clean sheets to keep you nice and dry.
Between hosting on AirBnb and (website hidden), I've had hundreds of guests and I have a passion for meeting fun new people.
Plus, I know a thing or two about this city so I can help you with whatever you want to know!
If you are going to smoke, there is a nice porch where you can do so.
Otherwise, just be respectful of the neighbors!
Overall my experience in Jeremy's flat was good! When I arrived the flat wasn't enough clean to host new guests , but when I contacted Jeremy he put a lot of effort to fix everything. the flat is quite big, some of the furniture are different than in the photos, the bathroom and appliances are quite old, nonetheless if you don't need too much comfort it is a nice flat. What make the flat very good is the location! Wicker park is fantastic, a lot of green areas, nice and quite streets and amazing bar and restaurants!
Everything fine! Nice flat - Great neighbourhood - a good place to explore Chicago - with or also without family/kids! Thanxs Jeremy!
I stayed at Jeremy's place for a total of 10 weeks. He was an awesome host - it never took more than a day to get back to us. There were some things that needed to be fixed in the apartment but as soon as we brought it up to Jeremy, he resolved the issues ASAP.
I'd say that the pictures are not representative of the apartment - the furniture has definitely gone through some wear and tear but there's no better location for young professionals.
Overall, I had a great experience with Jeremy!
So Jeremy was really good about communication, check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the neighbourhood was AMAZING. After spending a few days in Chicago, there was no area I would have rather stayed in. That being said, the apartment was a little bit more no-frills than we were hoping. It was large and clean, but we had to fix the tub which wasn't draining (which Jeremy compensated us for), and not all the rooms had working lightbulbs when we arrived. And especially in the back room it was kinda noisy because the upstairs neighbours were hanging on the back porch at night, so it's probably not the kind of place I'd want to stay in long-term.
Great apartment in a beautiful, vibrant neighborhood. Location is just perfect: a quiet street with Wicker Park and Damen blue line station just around the corner, as well as a Divvy bicycle station. Many, many bars and restaurants within walking distance. Recommended!
The location is really great, in a very quiet area. The neighborhood is cool and full of really interesting shops. However, as told by other hosts, the place doesn't look at all like the photos: there was no coffee table and only two chairs for four people (as we complained, Jeremy bought a new table and four chairs). The beds are in small rooms without any space for anything else (no bedside table, not enough space to store personal belongings...). We stay four days without any lighting in the bathroom (despite the fact Jeremy told us he will arrange this). And we stayed the two last days all windows opened (and it was cold - snowy, the last day!) because of a strong smell of gas in the kitchen (again, Jeremy told us he will arrange that, but nothing was done). Windows seemed to have never been cleaned and most of the blinds were broken. There was not enough kitchenware at disposal and no kitchen table. So, a really good location, but a place which needs to be improved and cleaned.
I agree with others that the location really makes this place. It was easy to walk to the Damen L, and there was lots of bars and restaurants in the area too. For being a two bedroom, the rates are much cheaper than a hotel--I understand that. However, the place doesn't look like the photos--there is no coffee table, the bed has been photographed in the living room, when in fact it's in much smaller room without anywhere to put clothes. Really, my only peeve is that no-one really lives here--if they did, there would be some basic things like enough seating for three people (place really could do with an air chair), or a bedside table and beside lighting.
