If we have spare time we will join you with a drink and a chat or even take you out to show you some of Cardiff's night life.
Grangetown is a moderate area and since being here for some seven years now we nor our guests have had any problem. We are only a 15/20 minute walk to city centre or the bay so easy to walk if you wish.
We have a bus stop directly outside that takes you in and out of the city centre. Grangetown train station is located at the top of our street, so you can arrive or depart from Tyrosa using it.
You have keys to your room and main door so you can come and go as you like. All rooms are non smoking and you can make use of the garden. We like to keep all rooms allergy free so sorry to those that travel with pets.
Paul immediately greeted us with tea, maps, and info on the area and house. His partner (sorry, name is lost right now!) made us a delicious, generous breakfast and we slept in stylish rooms with quirky chandeliers. They thought of everything- adding a hairdryer at the last minute to my room. Musical and movie artwork hung all over the place. A rainbow sticker on the door let us know that they were LGBT friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Situated in a quiet part of Cardiff equidistant from the centre and the bay. From the outset Paul made us feel very welcome and we were made to feel that we could ask him anything to help us during our stay.
The breakfasts are indeed great, I have a habit of having a few more minutes in bed and miss breakfast, but glad I didn't this time.
Excellent location near a large park and very very close to the Bay shopping and restaurant district in Cardiff. Lovely home and lovely hosts. I came late to breakfast and they still cooked me a lovely meal despite the inconvenience to them. The place is well-kept with a lovely garden area and lots of books and DVD's to peruse. The house is right in front of a convenient bus stop and there is parking conveniently on the street free of charge. The rooms were equipped with everything we needed, including a lovely, clean and seemingly new bathroom. The only downside to our room was the size. With two people and our luggage, it was very cramped and there wasn't much wiggle room! All in all a lovely stay.
Paul was an excellent host. Property as described. Breakfast delicious and generous. Recommended.
good place to stay, transport good and breakfast very good
Paul was welcoming and made us feel at home.
