When enquiring about a stay with us, you may book a single night stay apart from weekends where we like a reservation to be a minimum of two nights.
The hardest decision you will make at Ty Rosa will be what to order for breakfast as we have an array of items to tempt your taste buds each day from Traditional British, Eggs Benedict, Smoked Salmon, Welsh Gower, Pancakes, Omelette, plus much much more. Everything is freshly cooked to order and you will find something to cater for everyone including vegan, coeliac, wheat/dairy free, etc. . Welsh evening dinner meals are available on a pre-order basis, please ask to see a copy of our menu.
We have two premises, the main TyRosa house with five double guest rooms (one very large king room can take extra two single beds, great for a family of 4 persons). Then we have two annexe apartments located opposite the main house, first floor apartment has three double bedrooms (one with a small kitchen area) second floor apartment has two double bedrooms (one with a small kitchen area) the apartments are great for a family/party sharing so please ask about the apartment if you wish to reserve it
So snuggle up in a luxury bed in a room complete with matching wardrobe and bed-side cabinets, fresh towels are provided each day, tea/coffee facilities, toiletries, hair dryer and iron supplied in each room. We hope you will appreciate the quality of our rooms and the attention to detail given to every amenity we offer. All rooms are non smoking, but we provide sheltered outdoor facilities with easy access from the lounge.
When you arrive you can sit and relax with a cup of tea or coffee whilst we show you on a map (that you can keep and use) where we are and all the things to see, touch and eat are in Cardiff to name but a few including :-
Cardiff Castle, rebuilt over the years from Norman, Roman and Victorian times.
The Millennium stadium, home to Welsh rugby Restaurants, in the brewery quarter and the lanes of Cardiff city.
Shopping, St David centre or the Victorian arcades where you can try Welsh cheeses, see Welsh cakes being cooked on a griddle and you can take some away that are nice and hot, look around boutiques and trinket shops. National Geographic Museum

Go inside "The Senedd" which the government building for Wales.
Take a walk out to the barrage, its where the bay meets the sea. Fine dining with such an array of restaurants and some even jut out in to the bay for a fantastic view.
There are a few other attractions close to the city that you can get to by car and bus, which include :-
Castell Coch, a pretty castell that was built as hunting folly.
St Fagans national museum, many buildings from around Wales have been taken apart brick by brick and the re-assembled again in the St Fagans grounds. You can experience many buildings all working and in their period from old schools, churches, row of minors cottages, iron age settlement, etc etc. a fabulous place to visit and take in Welsh life through the ages.
Caerphilly Castell, a fort style castell which is the second largest castle in Britain and set in a lovely little town.
Feel free to use the main lounge to relax, read, enjoy a glass of wine or chat with fellow guests. We also have a garden area you can make use of.
Interaction with Guests
We are here to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. We are here from early hours to late, just popping out to get fresh items from the markets ready to cook for you if you have ordered one of our Welsh evening dinners. If we have spare time we will join you with a drink and a chat or even take you out to show you some of Cardiff's night life.
Grangetown is a moderate area and since being here for some seven years now we nor our guests have had any problem. We are only a 15/20 minute walk to city centre or the bay so easy to walk if you wish.
We have a bus stop directly outside that takes you in and out of the city centre. Grangetown train station is located at the top of our street, so you can arrive or depart from Tyrosa using it.
You have keys to your room and main door so you can come and go as you like. All rooms are non smoking and you can make use of the garden. We like to keep all rooms allergy free so sorry to those that travel with pets.
