We are here to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. We are here from early hours to late, just popping out to get fresh items from the markets ready to cook for you if you have ordered one of our Welsh evening dinners. If we have spare time we will join you with a drink and a chat or even take you out to show you some of Cardiff's night life.
Grangetown is a moderate area and since being here for some seven years now we nor our guests have had any problem. We are only a 15/20 minute walk to city centre or the bay so easy to walk if you wish.
We have a bus stop directly outside that takes you in and out of the city centre. Grangetown train station is located at the top of our street, so you can arrive or depart from Tyrosa using it.
You have keys to your room and main door so you can come and go as you like. All rooms are non smoking and you can make use of the garden. We like to keep all rooms allergy free so sorry to those that travel with pets.
Paul's Ty Rosa Boutique BnB was a delight. Paul was a gracious host, with a lovely home, very helpful pointing out what was about in Cardiff, and a delicious full breakfast with lots to choose from.
Thanks for a great stay, Paul!
Fantastic hosts the minute we walked in the door till we left for the train station. They gave us maps, showed us directions on the maps to the places we wanted to go, gave us numbers for the local cab services, told us what special events were going on in Cardiff, told us to call if we had any troubles, etc etc. The fact that their fabulous homemade breakfasts (without a doubt the best we had when staying in the UK) were included in the price of the stay makes this probably the absolute best deal in Cardiff.
We had a suite for 5 people to ourselves - a room with a single, a room with a double, and a room with a king, and one shared bathroom. The king size bed was a real relief for the married couple in our party since one of them is 6'8" tall! All beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and pleasingly decorated. Sharing one bathroom between 5 people was a little tough, but I think it was worth it for the privacy of the suite.
The street Ty Rosa is on is pleasant enough, the surrounding area looked a bit sketchy. However we were told when we arrived that it was actually quite safe and we had no problems when walking from Ty Rosa to the city center (to see Cardiff Castle) or to the harbor (port?) area (to see the Doctor Who Experience).
Other bonuses: a massive DVD collection for you to borrow from, wine glasses so you can have a drink in your room, bottles of water in the bedrooms, cool chandeliers, absolutely charming breakfast area/common room, and just the overall friendly helpfulness of the hosts.
Nous avons été très bien reçu et la chambre est parfaite pour trois personnes.
L'emplacement est bien et nous n'avons eu aucun mal à nous garer.
Les petits déjeuners sont très bon et très copieux.
Adresse à recommander.
Paul & Stuart were fantastic hosts. They were very responsive to our inquiries and very friendly and helpful during our stay.
Our stay in Cardiff was just for one night so it was too short to see everything the city and its neighbouring areas have to offer.
The breakfast is a must try so don't oversleep and miss that!
The location was central to everything we wanted to see and easy to find. Paul was a gracious host and provided everything possible we could need. The house was lovely, filled with character and warmth. A truly home away from home experience.
Short but sweet. They were very helpful in helping plan activities. Breakfast was excellent as well!
We had a great stay. Handy location with parking and lovely breakfast to boot
