Our two bed guestroom and its bathroom open onto a corridor a bit apart from the other family bedrooms. The flat is in a quiet location, 500 mts to the city center (10 mins on foot, 5 mins by bike), 1 km to the station and the Reggio Children International Center (two bus stops or 15 mins on foot or 5 mins by bike), and well connected by public transport. There are usually no parking problems in the area. And we have a couple of bikes to lend you if you want to cycle a bit around. The flat is on the ground floor, just a few steps up. Breakfast is included, as well as the use of sheets and towels. Free WiFi connection is provided, as well as a computer for checking your mail and making voip calls. In the bathroom there'(email hidden) is in the living room, which is shared with the rest of the family (we are four, but seldom all home).
If you'd like to book, please put a picture on your profile; I'd like to recognize you as you will recognize me.
I am so grateful for the care I received at Lorena's house, and the comfort of their home. Unfortunately Lorena was away on business and I missed out on meeting her, but her lovely children, Anna and Pietro and her mother took such good care of me and accommodated my early schedule so graciously. I felt immediately at home, was provided with regional specialties and homemade breakfast each morning and lovely conversations, as well. It was nice to have the quiet tranquility of their home to relax in, as well! I look forward to my next stay with Lorena and her family!
First -- the apartment is beautiful and comfortable and immaculately clean and centrally located. Lorena has maps of the area for guests to use, and even loans out a bike. She printed special maps for me to help me figure out the bus lines. The town center is beautiful and free of traffic and the town itself is far from the tourist hubbub of other more commonly visited places, but still has all the great food, lovely old buildings, nice places to walk...
But (secondi!) and more important than the location is Lorena and her family -- who welcome guests like family. I had such a great time staying here and I stayed probably longer than most guests, but never felt I was wearing out my welcome. Lorena's breakfasts made me feel like a queen -- such a variety of delicious foods! And she really goes out of her way to make you feel at home. I can't rave enough about my stay here. I hope I can come back!
Lorena and her son Pietro were the perfect hosts! Staying for them for just one night, they picked us up from the station and went above and beyond to welcome us and help us with recommendations. We had the best breakfast we have had in Italian b&b's for the last month - a varied and delicious selection. Prosciutto and parmesan cheese were great! The house was lovely, and the rooms spacious. The location is perfect for getting around Reggio Emilia, you can walk everywhere, and they even have a bike you can borrow. We strongly recommend staying here, it really felt like home. Thanks for everything!
A wonderful place to stay in Reggio Emila! Lorena treated my boyfriend and I like family or old friends. She picked us up at the train station and dropped us off and completely spoiled us with the beautiful assortments of breads, salami's, cheeses, yogurt and fruit in the morning for breakfast.. She was extremely helpful with maps, directions, and gave us a lot of information about places to see and things to do. She is incredibly kind and very easy to talk to. One of my favorite places I've stayed in Italy.
Lorena was an excellent host and went above and beyond what was expected. She lives close to the train station, but still picked me up and brought be back to her lovely home. The home is clean and comfortable and is a short walk from the main part of town. Lorena is very friendly, and took me on a tour of Reggio-Emilia and cooked a wonderful, authentic Reggio-Emilia dinner (with local wine)! She works from home, but still insisted on taking me to my appointment the next day on the outskirts of town (after a delicious breakfast of course), again going above and beyond!
I had some spare time before my train left for Verona, so I walked around the beautiful town and took in the sights. While I was out and about, Lorena discovered that I had forgotten my phone charger and adapter, and she found me on the train platform minutes before my train left! Her thoughtfulness helped me avoid a dead phone and all of the modern day woes that come with it! I was absolutely floored that she went out of her way to find me and I am so gracious that she did. As I said, she works from home, so she had to take time away from work to do so.
I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Lorena and her home to any potential travelers to Reggio-Emilia. Truly an excellent host!
I stayed at the home of Lorena and her family for one night. I could not find a family and a better place. ever since I arrived I felt comfortable and welcomed with warmth and sincere available, such as when you are at home of your best friends. breakfast was memorable.
