Charming room in a quiet urban chalet, just a short walk from Toronto's centre.
The Family Network shot a promo for the movie Annie in our living room. Yay! Now our living room is famous, and its not good enough to hang out with us plebs anymore. Ask us for a link!
Charming bedroom available in a split level home. We are located within walking distance of all that makes Toronto special; Dundas Square, Eaton Centre, St.Lawrence Market, Distillery District, China Town, the other China Town....
We are less then 10 minutes away from the subway lines. Our home is located in a private courtyard, away from traffic, noise, goblins and Manchester United fans.
The bed is firm, which may be a boon for people who like firm beds and a curse for people who do not.

Interaction with Guests
Vanessa and I love meeting and interacting with people. We enjoy interpretive dance and miming in case we don't share a common language. However we understand that not everyone is as social as we are so if you would prefer to have a less interactive stay, that is also ok with us.
We live in a developing neighbourhood, a departure from Toronto's posh west end. Because of its grittiness our neighbourhood is often the setting for many Hollywood movies. There are more homeless shelters on the east side of Toronto than on the west side, so if seeing homeless people makes you, dear guest, uncomfortable, you would be best to look for accommodation on the west side of Yonge St. Despite the delicate social challenges we Torontonians face, please be assured that Toronto is by far the safest metropolitan city in North America, and we encourage all our guests to explore the city by foot, as it is meant to be discovered.
Stroll through one of the many parks and green spaces in a newly designated area in Toronto known as The Garden District. The district is located between Wellesley and Queen streets; Yonge and Sherbourne streets and encompasses many gardens and parks.
Our section of the Garden District is soon to be designated a Heritage Conservation District. HCDs are designated because the areas they protect are considered to be historically or culturally significant and require special care and attention in the planning process to ensure that they are conserved.
The focus of the area is Allan Gardens with its abundance of gardens in the summer and a greenhouse packed full of plant life in the winter. The area is a blend of old and new, residential and commercial, houses and high rises, history and new sites all mixed together. Full of historical churches, restaurants, shopping and many other unique venues the area is one of Toronto’s hottest new spots to live and work.

(okay, if you've read this far you get a free doughnut)
There are street cars and buses everywhere. We have to swat away at them like flies.
Other Things to Note
There is a flight of stairs (13 steps) to our apartment from the courtyard, and while we believe that its worth the short climb if you happen to have a mobility impairment we will understand if you chose to stay somewhere more accessible.
This is a non smoking house.
Please clean after yourself in the kitchen! Thus we can all enjoy a happy/worry free/kitchen cleaning free life if we all do a little bit.
Please don't feed our pets human food!! They will expect more food from you in the future and will get strange around guests, expecting to be fed. You will be doing them a disservice in the long run.
Respect the neighbours. They live here too. Also don't feed them human food!!!
Food left unattended on the balconies attracts racoons which obviously begets more racoons. No thanks!
Its okay to play music in the living room. Its not okay to play Rage Against The Machine for the whole neighbourhood however.
Do not talk about Fight Club!!
Calin and Vanessa ask me to write the comment in Chinese。
I was thrilled to get to stay with Calin & Vanessa (as well as their canine companion Remy and, of course, Hello Kitty!) a second time! The space is fun, comfortable, and located in a very convenient location to walk or take the TTC around Toronto. Even better, Calin & Vanessa are awesome people – and great hosts, too! They are not only consistently hilarious and interesting, but also extremely kind and helpful! From coffee, cookies & conversation in the morning to a beer at night (and even a ride to the airport!), I appreciate everything they did to make my visit pleasant and lovely. After my first stay, I said I'd be back, and I meant it – and I'll definitely be back again!
This is my first Airbnb experience and my first trip to Toronto. And honestly everything is amazing except the weather those days :p. Firstly Calin and Vanessa's place is such a wonderful house located in a quiet community, but it won't take you too long to reach downtown Toronto. And the guest room is stylish, cozy and configured with basic appliances. Then Calin and Vanessa are terrific and kind persons. I felt at home. Anyway I'd love to stay again!
This is our first experience on Airbnb and it could not be better. The house looks exactly the same as posted and locates in a quiet block which is near to Eaton Center and within walk distance to every where in downtown Toronto. But the best part is the hosts, Calin & Vanessa, who are so welcoming and just like old friends. They are cool, fun, love their lives and are always willing to share all the wonderful things they know with us. It is so great to know them. Definitely recommend!
Calin and Vanessa were amazing hosts. Even though our flight had delay and some circumstances happened at the airport, they were waiting for us and we had a very nice welcome.
They provided us some information where to eat, what to see, what to do. They were very helpful and very funny.
Their whole apartment is very nice decorated and clean. It's in walking distance to the shopping center Eaton Center, the subway station, St. Lawrence Market.
If we come back, we will definetely stay again with them.
With this being my first trip to Toronto, I wanted to find a cool place to stay, in a good location, and stay with hosts that know and love their city. Thats exactly what I found at the Hello Kitty Airbnb!
The place was a few blocks from Toronto's "Time Square" and all public transportation. My room was very clean and comically cute. Calin and Vanessa were so lovely, I enjoyed chatting them up. I'll be back!

I tend to fidget. Its a thing I do. And I like to straighten pencils. First perpendicular, then horizontal and finally I balance them straight up. I'm five foot seven, two eyes, one nose. I store food in my cheeks (for the winter). I collect colorful shoes.. for example.. I have multicolored collection of All Stars, Ed Hardy shoes, Blue Lizard Shows (made from real lizards!).
I also like making wild claims that cannot possibly be verified. Why ? Because as a youth I used to play for Chelsea F.C in their under 15 team and I feel pressured now to live up to that expectation. Also I'm half sewing machine.
Just kidding! Ignore everything I've written above and concentrate solely on this paragraph. Vanessa and I are avid travellers. We know that getting oriented in a new city can be as tough as it is exciting and we are here to provide you with the guidance you need to find what you are looking for. We enjoy adventures in food and can suggest a few authentic places to try. Of course, you may be of a different opinion as to what constitutes "great food", so we will annoy you until you relent. Yeah. We're weird food snobs.
And this is why I'm not allowed to write profiles.
I've realized I really dislike the term: "Heart of Toronto". Its really overused. What about the "inner Toronto sanctum" ? or "The discreet inner tip of Toronto" ? Lets give that a go for the next decade and then we can have that whole "heart of Toronto" thing back, a la retro.
