We will interact with our guests as much as they would like. Yes, we will be at the house during visits by guests. My children and l prepare a delicious breakfast for our guests with fresh fruit salad, juice, free range eggs from a farm in Schull, West Cork, my homemade jams with brown bread, tea and coffee. Our neighbourhood has a village feel although only minutes from the city centre. In the area there are some great pubs such as the landmark Henchys Pub. Also there is a wine bar which also does good food, a delicatessen, a chemist, post office, a butcher and a Chinese restaurant. Most of the houses in our area are Victorian or Edwardian and accordingly are listed as an Area of Special Conservation.
Only 5 minutes from our house, there is a bus stop which takes you into the city centre if you do not want to walk the short distance! There is also a train station 10 minutes away which takes you to areas such a Cobh and Midleton, and has connections nationwide. One can get from the airport to our home by bus to the city centre or a taxi which would cost between 15 and 20 euro. Off street parking is also available at our home in our driveway.

Fiona was super friendly and make us feel as we were at home during our stay. The room was very clean and comfy. The house is charming and have a great view of the city center. Everything is at a walking distance (around 15 min). The breakfast is also a great plus. We definitely recommend it!
It was a delight to stay with Fiona: she is so lovely, welcoming and knowledgable. We took a few wrongs turns to get to her place, but when we asked for directions, the locals were very friendly and helpful too. Her home is beautiful, the duvets are oh so cozy, and the breakfasts (incl. Fresh duck or hen eggs) were yummy. Fiona has 2 airbnb rooms, and we enjoyed meeting her other guests too! Wonderful stay, Many thanks Fiona!
Charming 3 Story Victorian over looking the city - we each had a single bed with plenty of Irish wool blankets if needed in the chest. We had the whole 3rd floor so we had the bathroom to our self's which was great, her son greeted us and showed us the room and where to park and the house. She was home shortly after and provided us directions on sights to see in the area, had books and guides available, and info for supper and pubs. We walked down to a Local Pub called Gallagers and had a great meal and conversation with the owner and some other sin the pub. Homemade breakfast with a large variety of her made jams - great - she is great and would stay again...
Fiona has an amazing place in Cork! Perfect spot and she had fantastic recommendations for the area - one of the best nights we had in Ireland!
We had a fabulous time in Cork, Ireland! The B and B was great, both comfortable and convenient. Although it was on a large hill to walk up every night it was worth it for the awesome view of the city and for such a homely experience. Fiona is a wonderful host! She was helpful, welcoming and extremely kind. I would recommend everyone visit Cork and stay with at this airbnb!
