Maggie and Marty are terrific hosts, making us feel like we are part of their family during our stay. I had to prevent my wife from stealing the bed it was so comfortable. We are definitely looking for reasons to come back!
Maggie and Marty are absolutely the best. They are wonderful hosts and welcoming. Also, the other tenants are great to be around. It is also an easy drive to Danbury and train stations to NYC.
We stay with Maggie and Marty twice a year when we visit our family in the Northeast. The accommodations are always comfortable, the welcome is warm and our stay is always wonderful. It's like staying with family!
I have stayed twice at at Maggie and Marty's home in Hopewell Junction. I've had a great time on both occasions. (And my dog has loved the house and the lands around it.) I used the space as a quiet place to write and I was very productive while I was there. It was clean and quiet. And it was close enough to Beacon when I felt like taking a break from my work. I would definitely stay there again!
We had a wonderful time at Maggie and Marty's this past weekend. The house is charming and the room we had was very large, holding one queen and one double bed with lots of room to spare. There were wonderful down quilts to snuggle with, and if you didn't have enough there were extras left along the top bannister. Our shared bathroom was big and there were extra towels along with those set aside for us in our room. The wireless is also great, no buffering issues at all.
Maggie was wonderful, with the fact that we had to change our arrival date twice. We had a family emergency and she was amazingly understanding. She even helped us to change the reservation as I couldn't figure out how to do it on the site.
We were also able to bring our two "pups." How lucky that was for us! They are 13 years old but when they saw all of the room they there to run they were like 3 year olds again. Maggie had no problems with the pups having a blast and the next morning my husband walked them twice around the lovely lake on their property.
We felt very lucky to be able to also enjoy a house concert along with catered food (made by her daughter and friend's new catering venture) on the Saturday evening we were there. What a treat that we happened to pick the right weekend for such a fun event. Maggie even invited my daughter's family to enjoy the evening. My son-in-law and two granddaughters came over and we all enjoyed wonderful food and a great show.
I went to bed a bit early and even though the house was full ,once I closed my door I didn't hear anything due to the size of the home.
I'm looking forward to get back into that cozy bed again and look forward to staying there when we visit my daughter again.
The place was so clean! Maggie and Marty were wonderful hosts! We booked Claire's room on the very same day we planned on arriving and only gave our hosts about an hour to set up for us yet everything was superb! We only stayed one night and truly regretted not staying longer.
Maggie came and greeted us in the driveway and was, and continued to be, impeccably hospitable, accommodating, warm and welcoming throughout our entire stay. I would highly recommend staying with Maggie and Marty, as I plan on returning myself.
