Airy bedroom with a double (full) bed, closet space and private bathroom in charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom 1890’s Victorian cottage. Located on a safe, friendly street with historic San Francisco charm.

The Space

Relax after a hard day of sightseeing (or work) with kitchen, laundry, internet (the essentials!) handy and available. Cable TV and wireless internet connection are provided.

The bed has fresh linens and blankets and the private bath has white fluffy towels with an assortment of travel necessities.

While we do not smoke, smoking is OK outside (only) and dogs are considered. **No Drugs**

Guest Access

Shared space includes a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and gas stove, dining room/desk space, and an outside deck. Note: self serve or full service laundry and drycleaning is one block away.

Interaction with Guests

My partner and I are long time San Francisco residents and live with a friendly 12lb. dog. We can toss you a key and wish you well, or help you map an "insider" tour de force.

The accommodation is relaxed and comfortable: the house is 2 story and we reside in the lower level. While we're often on the move with busy lives (the dog included!) - I make excellent coffee.

By the way, the dog is a hypoallergenic breed. She has hair (and doesn't shed fur) so she's great for allergy-prone guests.

The Neighborhood

Our street is tree-lined, safe and quiet. The neighborhood boasts some of San Francisco's best weather and there's a convenient bus stop nearby. Corbett Avenue at Hattie Street (our approximate location) is a five minute walk into Castro village. Easily explore multiple parks, tons of restaurants (for every taste and budget!), and the famous Castro Theatre and Mission Dolores.

The Castro Muni station is so close - why drive? I recommend that you enjoy San Francisco without a car (it's easy and cheap) but there is ample street parking with restrictions.

Getting around

And the BEST part? This house is ideally situated for city-wide exploration!

The Castro Muni station (underground) or the historic Market F-line are a 5 minute walk (or quick bus ride).

Chinatown, downtown shopping, Fisherman's Wharf, the Ferry Building, AT&T Park, the Haight and Golden Gate Park - they're all easily accessible!

Other Things to Note

We've pinned our location to the Guidebook. Zoom in to better see where our home is located!

If you rent a bike while you're visiting - lock it to our lemon tree. Our property is raised from the street and surrounded by a tall security fence for added deterrent protection.

  • The hosts were friendly and helpful when I wanted them to be--and left me to myself otherwise. Everything was accurately described.

  • The location was excellent, the place was clean and charming, and Bruce and Mo were excellent hosts. They could not have been more welcoming, and I could not have been more pleased with my stay. I will be back!

  • A bus stop is just in front of this nice and cozy place. It will goes directly to castro and market, a very central location in Sfo. Bruce and Mo are really careful, nice and helpful hosts, always warning me about the buses arrivals and to carry a coat because of the constantly changing weather of Sfo. Defenitely would stay with them again. Thank you a lot Bruce and Mo.

  • It was my first time wih Airbnb and it couldn't have been more perfect. Bruce and Mo were the perfect hosts from the start to the end. They live in a street I fell in love with, very charming houses and trees. The house is located at a 5min walk distance from the subway station Castro and at 10min walk from the Corona Height Park (from where you have a 360° view of the city) and the Buena Vista Park. The room was perfect too, clean with a TV and space to put your clothes. Having a private bathroom was very convenient.
I had the chance to have diner with my hosts and Mo showed me his culinary talents. And let's not forget the smart and adorable Roxy, the dog house, who is very sweet and I miss already. Book with Bruce and Mo, you won't regret it.

  • Bruce and Mo are super gracious hosts, very nice guys. Staying in their beautiful home for a week in San Francisco was so cozy and relaxing. I've never slept in such a comfortable bed! Woke up nice and refreshed every day to go out and explore the wonderful city. Great location for doing just that as well. Could walk easily downtown, The Castro, Haight, everywhere. Good for people that like hiking and parks with breathtaking views. I would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it.

  • Bruce, Mo, and Roxie were terrific hosts for my Mom's first visit to SF! She made friends, I made local friends, and she will definitely be back. It's a great location, great price, super-comfortable accommodations, and overall a wonderful experience.

  • Great 1st experience for me with Airbnb with Bruce, Mo and Roxy!
1st visit for me in SF, alone, and Bruce& Mo were always nice to help and guide me when needed. The room is little but the bed is very comfortable with all you need to put your things, and everything is clean.
Castro station with metro and streetcar is 10 min walk (or bus in front of the house) with direct access to Market St, the main road of SF, which permits you to move easily in SF.
I appreciated our discussions with Bruce and Mo, the cute face of Roxy, the fact that they are discreet but available if needed, the place is nice and safe, it was really nice meeting them, and I would surely come back to see them if I return to SF one day!

  • Bruce, Mo and the cutest dog Roxy were really great hosts. They were really generous and helpful.

It was my first trip to SF alone. But they let me feel very comfortable. The place was very close to the bus station and Twin peaks, too!
Everything was clean and neat. Thank you very much, Bruce and Mo! See you next time!

  • I had a fantastic week-long stay with Mo, Bruce and the ever-excitable Roxy! They are superb hosts, always fun to chat to and they had plenty of tips and advice for a first time traveller. The room was ideal for my trip, extremely comfortable bed, plenty of storage and the private bathroom is a huge bonus (again, spotless). I could come and go as I pleased, the house is in a great location - just up from the Castro, a useful bus line stopping right outside the door or a short walk down the hill to the Muni station and F-streetcar (downtown in 10-15 mins).

A home away from home, it's five stars from me!

  • I had the pleasure of staying with Bruce and Mo for a few weeks after moving to San Francisco. They were fantastic hosts and made me feel at home. I couldn't have asked for a more positive, supportive experience while getting started in the city.

The private room was great with its own dresser to unpack my belongings and a nightstand to put my phone. The private bathroom was really big, clean, and lots of fresh towels. Bruce and Mo allowed me to use their front room which made the few times I had to work in the evening very easy.

Bruce and Mo are fantastic people and I highly recommend getting to know them. They provided me with fantastic information about the city and are great to have a conversation with.
