Interaction with Guests
As I live 90 kilometers from Salzburg I am not always able to wait for my guests and meet them, so I send them instructions how to access the key and informations about their apartment. I have a nice neighbour on the ground floor, Mariana, who takes care of my apartments and my guests when I am not there.
What I love about my neighbourhood is that it is a very pleasant neighbourhood, there are mainly small houses, it is quiet and nevertheless close to the historical center. It is a pleasant 15 minutes walk if you walk slowly. There are many restaurants close by, from 3-4 to 10 walking minutes distance. There are busses close by but you don`t hear them, it is close to the airport but you don`t hear the planes, it is just a few minutes by taxi to the train station, a perfect location.
If you walk 3-4 minutes you reach the bus station for bus 27 which goes to the center, train station and airport.
Other Things to Note
If there are no guests leaving the day you arrive you can check in any time, otherwise the apartment will be ready around 13 o`clock but if you arrive earlier you can bring your luggage after 10 and go for a walk until the apartment is ready.
On the day you leave I need the apartment at 10 o`clock for final cleaning if there are guests coming that day, otherwise at 12.
Please make no noise after 22 o`clock.
Please don`t walk with your street shoes inside the apartment, there are slippers in all sizes waiting for you.
If you are traveling with a dog (at most one) you can bring him if you can guarantee that he will make no damage and that you won`t leave him alone in the apartment.
Ruth was very helpful in making sure we knew how to get into the apartment. Her binder of information was extremely helpful. Also, the apartment was located in a great spot. Not to close and not to far from the sights.
Very clean and well located apartment in Salzburg. Looks Just like the pictures and is very conveniently located if you have a car as there is private parking right beside the building. We did not meet Ruth but she was very good at communicating all the instructions and we were able to find and get in the apartment with no issues. I would definitely recommend this apartment if you are looking for a quiet place in Salzburg to stay.
The reservation was canceled 50 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Vielen Dank!
We really enjoyed staying in Ruth's apartment! It was convieniently located within walking distance to the city center. Ruth even arranged for a crib to be left in the apartment for our youngest child to sleep in. We would highly recommend this apartment to other people and are considering another trip ourselves.
We really enjoyed our stay in Ruth's apartment. Even though we never actually met Ruth, she was always very helpful and responded immediately to any email we sent. The apartment was perfect for 2 people and had everything we needed. We found it very easy to walk to the center - a little over 15 minutes and a very pleasant walk. We did it twice a day most days without a problem. We liked the fact we were out of the center and in a quiet residential area. There was a supermarket, 2 restaurants and a bakery nearby. We didn't have a car and Ruth was kind enough to order us a taxi the day before we left to make sure we arrived at the station in time for an early train. We recommend this apartment and would stay again.

About the Host, Ruth
Hi, I'm Ruth
I have been living in the beautiful Pinzgauer Alps since 1973 , in a little village called Gries, 90 kilometers south of Salzburg. Before I lived in Viena-Austria, Sao Paulo- Brasil ,Chicago- USA and Tel Aviv-Israel..
I have a wonderful 26 year old son who studies Philosophy in Vienna.
My hobbies: I adore travelling, photography, gardening, reading, classical music and meeting interesting people . My favorite travel destinations are the far East (so far I have been in China-Yunnan province, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapure, Indonesia (Bali), Malaysia), Sri Lanka, Maledive Islands, South America (so far only Brasil and Venezuela but I plan to visit Peru, Bolivia and Chile this year). I have also been to Central America (so far Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic), Africa (Kenia, Egypt, Marocco, Tunisia), USA, and Europe (Norway, Holland, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Poland, CSSR, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Greece etc.)
I am new on Airbnb and I love this site. I find it so nice, that every host adds a picture and description of himself, and also that every potential guest adds a photo and tells something about himself. It makes it so familiar. It is so different from all other booking sites. It will be the first place where I look for a room or apartment when I travel next.
I have been renting holiday apartments in Salzburg for about 8 years and truly enjoy the contact with my guests, although unfortunately I am not always able to meet them personally. In case I can't, I send them instructions how to access the keys and informations about the apartments, and if I am travelling, there is a neighbour who speaks perfect English and who takes care of my apartments and my guests while I am not there.
