E komo mai ! Welcome to Hawai’i

Come stay in a local neighborhood
This is like staying in your auntie's guest rooms, without breakfast. It is very casual and fun. Simple and easy going, This is not like staying in a professional B&B. It is a private room and shared bathroom in a happy home. With my brother, myself and 2 friendly, well-behaved dogs.

Rooms are located near shared bath and kitchen.
Bedroom is Furnished with a double bed, dresser, table, 2 chairs, a ceiling fan,
Additional Futon mattress and linens available to use on floor if desired or for additional guest

Flexibility is the key for us all.

I have put together a binder with menus form local restaurants, maps, bus schedules and other useful things

Guest Access

A breezy, bright home with a heated saltwater pool, and a hot tub. There is a chair lift to help a differently abled person get in and out of pool.
I provide a set of towels, a beach towel and linens for bed.

The bedroom has a sliding glass door out to a small semi-private lanai.
Guests have access to the swimming pool, hot tub and shared area by the pool.

There is a clothesline to hang your bathing suits, towels etc.
The Kitchen microwave, coffee pot, and hot pot may be used for fixing breakfast, light meals and snacks. Remember kitchen is shared You are expected to cleanup after yourself ;-)

Interaction with Guests

When we're in town my brother or I will greet you you help you get settled in and will be available to help you with finding your way around.

Or if you prefer we can give you the combinations to get yourself in. There is a binder of local and household information I have put together for your use.
If you prefer to be on your own I totally respect that and are happy to have you come and go as you like with little interaction if that is your preference. But I'm available by texting or phone calls most anytime

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is local environment, close to library, shopping and parks.

1 block from Koko Marina Shopping Center, with a movie theater, Boating and other sports adventures, Live music 4 nights a week and all kinds of restaurants Kona Brewery for great food local beer, Bubbies for local ice cream, Teddy's burger, Fat Boys Plate lunch, Kozo Sushi, Chinese food with lobster specials, Assagios Italian, Starbucks, Shave Ice, Korean Bar B-Que, Zippys, There is a Walgreens w/ pharmacy and which also carries groceries and and other fun things for visitors, beach towels, snorkeling gear etc.

15 minute walk to Hanauma Bay, Koko Head trail

The houses are close together and you may hear noise from neighbors. Also in Hawaii we have single wall construction so we hear each other too. If you are sensitive to noise, earplugs are a good idea.

Getting Around

The Honolulu Bus system is available within 2 blks or a 5 minute walk from the house. It is reasonably priced and can take you most anywhere on the island. They have an excellent app and online access to schedules and routes

Getting here:
By Car
Honolulu International Airport is about 30 minutes away by car/taxi
I am willing to pick up 2 people in my Honda CR-V(van) for $65 (same price as cheapest shuttle) (and i'll bring you a flower lei ;-) if you would like this service let me know

Waikiki is 9 miles away which is about 20 minute drive or a 50min bus ride.
Pearl Harbor is about about 35 minutes by car, or 90 minutes by bus.

If you want to be in the City and Waikiki most days, my house is the WRONG place for you. if you want to snorkel, hike and surf the south shores we are the place to be

I am willing to pick you up 2 people for $65 (and i'll bring you a flower lei ;-) if you wish to arrange this let me know. I might be able to accommodate more people depending on luggage
