Wake up from a silent slumber to gentle views of the Wicklow countryside from the comfy double bed. Only 20mins from Glendalough, our 1 acre garden is home to a small flock of chickens and our polytunnel offers organic grapes and figs in season.

The space

Experience the exquisite quiet of the countryside interspersed by the soothing cooing of woodpigeons and the contented clucking of happy hens. Lounge in the garden as Red Kites soar overhead and, in season, snack on organic produce, especially our sweet organic grapes from the polytunnel. Look up at the milkyway sketched across the night sky and inhale sweet clean air. The accommodation has a double bed and a fold-out single bed with private WC & shower en-suite.
BREAKFAST: A basket of breakfast goodies will be provided for you to dine at your leisure.
KITCHEN FACILITIES: There is a basic kitchenette with Tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge and cooking facilities comprising 2 hotplates, a toaster and pots and pans. The kitchen may be shared with a maximum of 3 other guests.

Cute little place. Edwin was very responsive and nice. He greeted us upon arrival. It was good for us to go to Glendalough, which was about 8 miles away. The room is behind the house in their backyard. Very simple room but has everything you need. We did run out of hot water while showering. We stayed only one night and left early for airport so yogurt, cheese and bread were left in the small fridge for us, which was very nice. Would recommend Edwin's place.

Beautiful place and friendly host. Loves the hens running about the land my 10month old daughter got a kick out of them and they come right up to you

Edwin's place is so great. The cabin is easy to get to, but so away from everything. The grounds and cabin are so well maintained— chairs and benches for relaxing outside, well decorated and cozy cottage. Edwin's hospitality was amazing: greeted with a smile and a chat and breakfast ingredients prepared in the morning. Not your typical B&B experience!

Great little place. Just stayed for one night but it's a quirky and cosy place to stay with a great breakfast hamper in the morning

We loved all the beautiful wood inside, which is unusual for Irish lodgings. The room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and with a very personal touch. An ideal getaway in the Garden of Ireland!

Edwin User ProfileEdwin is a superhost.

We love country living, growing vegetables, keeping poultry, wandering in the great outdoors. We also love to share the beauty that surrounds us. As well as English, Ed speaks fluent German and Dutch and some Spanish. Fiona speaks limited French, with a deceptively good accent!!!
