Magical Fitzroy Warehouse Conversio

House - Entire home/apt · Argyle St, Fitzroy, VIC 3065, Australia

The Space

Welcome to this unique home in Melbourne. It is part of the Australian SignatureSpaces online property portfolio. Thank you for reading this listing (especially the rates), before enquiring!

The Building

This unique house is 2.5kms from the CBD and 5 mins walking distance of every amenity, you might like. This includes swimming pool, gym, library, parks, cycling paths and hospitals.

The house offers a great music system with 1000s of tracks to choose from, Playstation, street parking for one car (permit), unlimited superfast internet, TV, roof top terrace, front garden and rooftop BBQ area, rooftop and garden movie screen, arcade games, an espresso coffee machine, tea / coffee, etc etc.

Transport

There is fantastic public transport (trams every 10 minutes and I provide free MYKI cards) although you are a 20 minutes walk to the city and have numerous entertainment and sport options (email hidden) radius - gyms, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, supermarkets etc etc.

The Bedrooms

There are 3 bedrooms - 2 rooms have a double bed and each room therefore accommodates 1 or 2 people (not 3 people in a bed!). The third room sleeps one person in a King Single.

All beds are excellent quality and NOT fold down. All linen included.

You are welcome to cook and enjoy all aspects of the house and terraces.

Conditions

I live in the apartment, so this is NOT usually an unoccupied apartment UNLESS you take all the bedrooms or we negotiate exclusive occupation because I am away on work. However the rooms are very private and you have your own bathroom. I am also seldom in the house unless you specifically want conversational company or help. Now for the money facts ....

  • This is a wonderful base for a visit to Melbourne. The home has everything you could hope for and it worked really well for our group of five adults. Kenneth is a generous host - his warmth and 'local' suggestions gave us a great feel for the area. And the location is perfect for exploring the Smith, Gertrude and Brunswick St area.

  • Kenneth's home is so awesome. Great location and a wonderful setting. thanks for your hospitality and for having such an amazingly creative space.

  • Kenneth is the rare host who goes above any expectation of duty to provide a comfortable and interesting stay. He introduced me to friends, talked about the neighborhood, and recommended places to eat and shop.

The space is top-notch. Sophisticated and comfortable, but also full of interesting books, art, and whimsy. The views from the rooftop are impressive. The location can't be beat.

    My highest recommendation.

  • The consummate Airbnb experience: praise of Kenneth's Warehouse is redundant in the wake of all the other glowing reviews. It's one of Melbourne's great Airbnb spaces, and very liveable.
Crossing paths with Kenneth is a pleasure and a privilege.

  • I went to Melbourne for a family getaway and Kenneth's Warehouse Conversion was nothing short of fantastic.

Wonderfully clean and tidy. Exceptional location, close to everything. Excellent induction on the house and it's appliances. Big kitchen, comfortable beds and pretty special outdoor areas. Warm on cold nights and cool on hot days. Fantastic sound system (important in my books!).

Kenneth and Elena were very helpful, generous and welcoming. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and encouraged us to treat the beautiful place as our own. Very happy. I couldn't recommend more highly.

  • We are really lucky to meet Kenneth as he's really busy and usually you will only meet his housekeeper...... He's really professional host, he prepared welcome package include shower gel, guide book of the house and the city, Myki card to use the tram, he's so international and recommend some nice Cafe to us, we hope one day we will meet in Shanghai or Melbourne again~

  • Kenneth has the natural ability to play host to any guest.

He was knowledgeable and always happy to share, filling us in on the latest in where to go for lip-smacking food, good coffee..chocolates even!

And how convincing he was...almost sacrificed our plans to hunt the elusive chocolatier, if not for our friend who reminded us of the time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our chats with him, that wicked humour and all.
An affable chap, just don't get him started on the Financial Crisis!

And the property, what can we say......
So full of character, but of course it's what you make of it.

Location is good, just a few minutes from the chic and trendy Brunswick St. Be spoilt for choice here, window shopping, lazing around cafes, or just people-watching.

If you need tips for food, just ask Kenneth..he may ask you to join him for a meal if you're lucky.

Our only regret was spending so little time IN the house, which totally defeated the purpose of booking this charming place.

I suggest putting some time aside, or at least a slow day or two to bum around the house, have a lazy morning or afternoon in the living room.
    Or on the patio/front porch.
    Or the rooftop.

So much to do in the house itself...we'll be back to finish what we missed out on.

  • Couldn't have chosen a better place to stay and a better host. We were in Melbourne for the marathon and Kenneth's house is only a couple of km from the start near the MCG, getting there was the warm-up. Kenneth gave great recommendations to coffee shops and restaurants and I don't think he minded us lounging around his living room "resting up" before the run.... at least I hope he didn't! The renovation Kenneth's done is great - the bedrooms are comfy and the shower rocks too. The sound system he's set up is awesome too.

  • Had a great stay with Kenneth - fantastic apartment and great host. Was sorry I didn't spend more time there!

About
Fun loving knowledgeable host who would like your stay to be as magical as it can be. I am well traveled and interact with all age groups so we will have lots to talk about and I can give you good local advice. If I had to live without certain things, I would say that I can't live without friends who share experiences, my music, my coffee and my dreams for a fun life. I also am an incurable optimist. My other listings are in my wishlist!!! Have a look!
