Small double room with roof terrace attached. Very quiet and cosy. Original floorboards and white walls. 4'6 bed with cotton linens. The house is a redbrick artisan house, in the heart of the city centre on a quiet street. Walk everywhere!
A cosy double room with private attached deck / roof terrace in newly-restored redbrick artisan house in the best location in the Dublin city centre. The room is bright and quiet and you have shared use of the shower room. The bed is 4'6" (standard double). There's a nice terrace/deck accessed directly from the guestroom. Broadband internet is available. Walk to St Stephen's Green in less than 10 minutes and Temple Bar in 6 minutes.
Host is a well-travelled gay man. I speak (with varying degrees of fluency!) English, Spanish, Italian and French. I can advise on cultural and entertainment options. Help yourself to coffee (Nespresso I'm afraid, the Gaggia keeps breaking :)) or a glass of wine. I love living here, both for the house and the convenience of being right in the heart of things, while on a very quiet street.
You will not need to get a taxi anywhere in the city centre when staying here. The 747 airport bus leaves you 4 minutes walk from front door and usually takes about 25/30 minutes. The house is very cosy in winter (well-insulated!). The interior is all-white and mixes contemporary fittings with some period touches. The floors upstairs are the originals (restored) and there are Edwardian/Victorian fireplaces.
I can provide on street parking permits where necessary.
There are lovely cafes (Cafe Noto, Fumbally, Queen of Tarts, Mannings) nearby. The best local pub (possibly the best pub in Dublin) is Fallons. You are 10 minutes walk from all that Dublin City Centre has to offer.
There are buses and trains to all outlying areas should you wish to explore - Malahide, Howth, Dalkey, Bray and Greystones are within easy reach. The Phoenix Park is a 15 minute walk away.
Please feel free to help yourself to breakfast. There is coffee, a selection of teas, bread, eggs, fruit, granola and cereals.
Help yourself to alcohol - whether you prefer a beer, a G&T or a glass of Malbec of NZ Sauvignon blanc, there should be something to suit your tastes :)

Daragh has been a fantastic host. He gave us wonderful tips on what to do and what to visit in Dublin and nearby. The flat was cosy, very clean at all the times. The location is very central, perfect to visit all the city walking. There was a lovely coffe machine in the kitchen. The only thing there was no breakfast included as it was mentioned on the features of the house, but with Daragh we felt like home.
Daragh was friendly, funny, and gave very helpful recommendations for restaurants, pubs, and music. He also gave us delicious chocolate and wine. The room was comfortable and well-lit and the house is close to fun Dublin activities.
Staying at Daragh's for the weekend was awesome. Daragh is a really nice guy, his house is impeccably clean, the bed was comfortable, and the entire place just felt really cosy. It was great coming back to his house after a long day of exploring Dublin. Location is central and easy for commute around town and to the airport. Highly recommended.
We had such a nice time staying with Deragh in Dublin. We seriously did not imagine his place to be that central so we were very surprised to find his place 2 min walking distance from downtown! Also he adviced us what to do and we loved the restaurants he told us to try! Thank you!!!
My husband and I stayed at Daragh's home from 14th to 18th february. It's the best location to stay at Dublin: near the centre (10 min walk), far enough the noisy area. The house is perfect, lots of accomodations, confortable, warm... We were like at home. And Daragh is the perfect host. He knows a lot of place to eat, to walk. His advices were perfect. Thank you to share your home and your time!
Daragh was an amazing host, right away when we arrived he had a map of Dublin and pointed out things to see and great places to eat, which was great because it was our first time in Dublin. His place is very centrally located making it easy to walk anywhere in the city. We felt very welcome staying with Daragh in his guest room.
Daragh was a funny and wonderful host with the best dinner and café recommendations. (and the best white wine at home :)) The apartment is centrally located and perfect for exploring the city by foot. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend staying with him.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Daragh's house for a weekend, and I can't say enough good things about our stay. He was super friendly, helpful, and we had a great time hanging out with him. The house was clean, cute, and in a perfect location (quiet side street, but central and walkable to all the major sights). Highly recommend Daragh and his lovely home!
