Small double room with roof terrace attached. Very quiet and cosy. Original floorboards and white walls. 4'6 bed with cotton linens. The house is a redbrick artisan house, in the heart of the city centre on a quiet street. Walk everywhere!
A cosy double room with private attached deck / roof terrace in newly-restored redbrick artisan house in the best location in the Dublin city centre. The room is bright and quiet and you have shared use of the shower room. The bed is 4'6" (standard double). There's a nice terrace/deck accessed directly from the guestroom. Broadband internet is available. Walk to St Stephen's Green in less than 10 minutes and Temple Bar in 6 minutes.
Host is a well-travelled gay man. I speak (with varying degrees of fluency!) English, Spanish, Italian and French. I can advise on cultural and entertainment options. Help yourself to coffee (Nespresso I'm afraid, the Gaggia keeps breaking :)) or a glass of wine. I love living here, both for the house and the convenience of being right in the heart of things, while on a very quiet street.
You will not need to get a taxi anywhere in the city centre when staying here. The 747 airport bus leaves you 4 minutes walk from front door and usually takes about 25/30 minutes. The house is very cosy in winter (well-insulated!). The interior is all-white and mixes contemporary fittings with some period touches. The floors upstairs are the originals (restored) and there are Edwardian/Victorian fireplaces.
I can provide on street parking permits where necessary.
There are lovely cafes (Cafe Noto, Fumbally, Queen of Tarts, Mannings) nearby. The best local pub (possibly the best pub in Dublin) is Fallons. You are 10 minutes walk from all that Dublin City Centre has to offer.
There are buses and trains to all outlying areas should you wish to explore - Malahide, Howth, Dalkey, Bray and Greystones are within easy reach. The Phoenix Park is a 15 minute walk away.
Please feel free to help yourself to breakfast. There is coffee, a selection of teas, bread, eggs, fruit, granola and cereals.
Help yourself to alcohol - whether you prefer a beer, a G&T or a glass of Malbec of NZ Sauvignon blanc, there should be something to suit your tastes :)
Céad Mile Fáilte (One Hundred Thousand Welcomes - in Gaelic)
Please do not smoke inside the house. There is a decked terrace directly off the guest bedroom.
Please help yourself to breakfast, drinks etc.
Tap water is drinkable.
If you do not have a working mobile (cell) phone in Dublin please have an alternative means of communication for check in.
Please do feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like any information - If I don't know I will try to find out for you!
Very welcoming, great local knowledge and a super friendly host :) All the more impressive given we arrived around midnight!
The room is pretty small but fine for the weekend. Well stocked drinks cupboard and a great central location - no more than 15mins walks from anything you'll want to see in the old town.
House is pretty small so likely to hear each other coming and going in the evening, but bed is plenty comfy enough for a good night's sleep :)
Beautiful house and beautiful host! We had a lovely time and really enjoyed the warmth and generosity! I would live to go back any time and hope the know I expect them to visit be any whenever they want!
we felt very welcome and had a super stay at this great location! be sure to ask daragh for some tips and things to do. he really knows some great places! thank you very much again
Such an enjoyable stay! Daragh is an amazing host with lots of local knowledge and million of tips to share - I even felt like I suddenly needed more than three days in Dublin. We felt so welcome, the house is in perfect position, the location is amazing as well, both for going out and sightseeing, you can walk everywhere in the city center from there. Thanks Daragh, we'll definitely come back if we are ever back to Dublin and thank you so much to you and Edgar for drinks, cakes, and everything else - such a lovely time, it was a pleasure to meet you both!
Excellent location. Walking distance to all the places I wanted to be.
Daragh made me feel very welcome both in his home and to Dublin. The house is clean, the outdoor terrace very nice; bed is comfortable, internet is fast. Daragh explained the kitchen, locking doors, and all else I needed to know. Very happy with my stay in Dublin with Daragh, would absolutely recommend and would absolutely stay again. Thank you!
Great stay in this central

Hello. I am a mid thirties professional living in Dublin city centre, I have lived abroad and love to travel. My interests include cooking, cinema, reading and spending time with friends. I love having people over for dinner and meeting new people. I also love eating out.
Of the places I have visited for pleasure, I especially loved Brazil, Laos and Japan. I love all of Italy and New York City. I love reading anything set in India. My monthly book club is something I really look forward to.
I have really enjoyed meeting new people through Airbnb. I am pretty passionate about Dublin, and like to share all the places that I think are special with visitors. Dubliners can be the most friendly people in the world!
