Great hosts, safe neighborhood, and relatively easy to get around.
Larry and Joanna were wonderful hosts! They were very welcoming and accommodating, and the room was very comfortable. It was also a great location for exploring Austin.
Larry and Joanna were the ideal hosts. They made me feel welcome; provided a clean comfortable room and a well-provisioned refrigerator I was free to take from; offered great conversation; and fitted in with my schedules and routine. They also had a friendly cat (plus two others that stayed outdoors).
The house is quirky and quaint and in a quiet part of town, close enough to the center to walk, but with a good bus service (every 30 minutes) should one need it.
The cot was surprisingly comfortable. We slept great. Its a small quaint quiet house. Nothing fancy so if you're into fancy this isn't maybe for you. We enjoyed our stay.
Joanna and Larry are two of the most hospitable hosts I know!
The home is cosy and full of cool art, and very close to downtown.
Overall, highly recommended!!
Very welcoming and helpful with my late arrival and check out times. They were great and made the whole process easy. The house was warm and cozy and reminded me of staying at a family members house. The location was perfect, outside of downtown, but right next to it for easy access.
Larry and Joanna's green room was my first airbnb booking. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to meet with Larry when I was there. Joanna was very kind and hospitable. She basically made us feel like we were home. The room is full of art pieces and nice paintings, some of which I personally like very much. The room and bathroom were very clean. They consider even the smallest details about their guests' comfort. The location is also very convenient. It's 15-25 minutes to walk to downtown depending on your step size. The Congress is even closer. It's also quite close to a highway entrance and the bus stop (to the airport).
