Thomas & Sheila were very accommodating, prompt with their communication and very keen on making our stay an A class experience! It was equivalent to coming home to Mom and Dad after a long stint away, with nothing left out, and everything to offer. The home was a typically comfortable Irish home, in a fairly central location, allowing easy access to the town and it's amenities. We would gladly stay here again.
Stayed in this house for New Years. Great location for exploring West Cork/South Kerry region. House was exactly what we wanted all the necessities with added bonus of a fire place. Kitchen was fully kitted with everything you'll need. Very pleasant stay and would highly recommend it. Thomas was very obliging and full of info about the region. He texted us to check if we were enjoying our stay and if we needed anything which was nice.
Myself and my boyfriend loved our 3 night stay in Thomas and Sheila's house. Not only was there candles lighting with Xmas decorations on the fireplace but there was homemade mince pies for our arrival. The house was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels, bedlinen and a well stocked kitchen (saucepans, coffee plunger etc). Even though it was a cold time of year, the house stayed surprisingly warm especially when we lit the open fire with the supplied fire logs. One night we had a small issue with the shower and Thomas and Sheila were at the house within 5 mins to sort it out. The location is perfect as it is only a 5 minute walk to town (and bus stop) so you would not necessarily need a car.
This house exceeded our expectations for our 3 night stay in Bantry. As I was attending a workshop I wanted a home away from home. Thomas made me and my friend feel very welcome. The area is very close to the town with a shop just around the corner. We found the neighborhood safe and quiet.
A cosy fire was a great bonus and the house was spotless as was the backyard.
Beautiful house close to Bantry city center. Thomas and his wife are very hospitable! Bellissima casa, vicinissima al centro di Bantry e molto comoda per spostarsi, Thomas e sua moglie sono gentilissimi e molto ospitali.
Great host, we had a very enjoyable time in Bantry, and wish we could have stayed longer! It was great having the house to ourselves and great having the backyard for storage. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We always stayed in hotels when we travel but decided to try something different. Signed up to use Airbnb when travelling and liked the idea so much we become hosts. We look forward to welcoming you to Bantry.
