Overall Guest Satisfaction

  • As a solitary traveller, I wanted to share my stay with someone creative and interesting who could give me insights into living in Tucson. I was greeted on a warm night by the refreshing coolness of an air conditioned adobe house full of colorful and personal works of art which added to the positive energy of Gail's home. Gail was a gracious hostess, and despite my last minute reservation, she pleasantly welcomed me in. I felt comfortable coming and going, and even though I arrived as a stranger, I left as a friend. I would recommend Gail's place to anyone who wants to have the comforts of living in a well maintained home with someone who takes pride in taking care of their guests.

  • Gail was so sweet and accommodating. She welcomed me and my sister with such kindness. Although we were running around town we were unable to sit and enjoy the availability of the kitchen and food (breakfast) she provided us, this was greatly appreciated. The area was quiet and had space to park your car/rental. This place was so close to the wedding we were attending which was very nice, as well as close to trader joes, restaurants, mall, yoga oasis, etc. I would recommend this artsy and sweet space Gail provides.

  • We enjoyed a five-day stay at Gail's Guest House and Art Gallery in early April. Prior to our arrival Gail emailed us to ensure she had all the details of the arrival time. Gail greeted us warmly and was attentive to our needs throughout our visit. The guest room is large, clean and comfortable, as was the attached bathroom. The location for Gail's house was convenient for all the things we planned to do, both in and outside the city.

Gail is a warm, creative and open person. We enjoyed great conversations over breakfast or as we returned from a day of exploring. At the same time, Gail was always respectful of our schedule and space.

We highly recommend Gail's Guest House and Art Gallery for anyone looking for lodging in Tucson.

  • Gail's guest house was comfortable and inviting. Gail was a gracious and helpful host. She really worked hard to meet any of my needs and make everything flow smoothly and easily. Gail provided breakfast, a spacious room with a comfortable bed and bathroom, WIFI and beautiful fresh flowers! I had a rental car and was able to park in her driveway instead of on the street. Her art work is present throughout the house and really adds a beautiful feel to her lovely home. Overall, I would recommend staying here for a relaxing and wonderful home base while in Tucson.

  • I very much enjoyed my stay at Gail's house. Both the bedroom and bathroom are very clean, cheerful and wonderfully spacious. The neighborhood is in a great location; pleasant for walking, quiet, and conveniently located. Gail offers a generous amount of breakfast cereal, snacks, coffee, etc.--everything you'll need! And it was a pleasure to meet Gail.

  • Open the door to Gail's house and you will be welcomed into her home by her beautiful paintings. Our bedroom was very large; Enough room for two of us to do yoga in the morning (yoga mat provided). The bed was very comfortable and I slept well on the 4 nights we stayed here. The small kitchen is equipped with the basics and Gail allowed us some room in the refrigerator. There is a little dinning area where Gail set out plenty of fruit for us to enjoy. She also had a nice tea selection. Gail is an interesting person, very open to any questions we had. She invited us to a Friday night dinner which we organized together. Gail shared with us her favorite places to experience the beauty of the natural world that surrounds Tucson.

The East-side location of the house is a ways from downtown, but not a long (website hidden) was a nice base of operations for our 4 day visit.

  • Gail's Guest House and Art Gallery is an ideal, welcoming home away from home in Tucson. Located in a historic district central to all in the city, Gail's chic gallery vibe gives you a sense of place and belonging to part of a community. Serious artworks that one might expect to view at Tohono Chul Gallery ground you to the Southwest, while Gail herself is the perfect host. Gail was uber-attentive, inquiring in advance as well as several times during my stay about breakfast preferences and other needs, and making sure her home was continually well-stocked with water, fruit, cereals, healthy snacks, etc.. All this made it easy for me to come and go about my business with ease, be productive, yet relax in a homey setting during *off-hours*. Gail is knowledgeable about the area and a pleasure to share conversation with. If you're seeking a soulful, non-commercial stay in Tucson, with the perfect balance of privacy, warmth, cleanliness and comfortable accommodations, Gail's Guest House and Art Gallery is an ideal spot. Highest ratings from this guest. Thank you Gail.

  • My wife and I had a lovely stay at Gail's house during a weekend trip to Tucson to visit some friends. The location was ideal - great neighborhood, within walking distance of the university. The room and bathroom were huge; it was nice to have the space to spread out our things. Gail provided breakfast fixings every morning, which was very convenient before starting our days of sight-seeing. We enjoyed talking with Gail over morning tea each day and would definitely stay with her again.

  • Gail's house was the perfect desert retreat! The location is great and the room is very comfortable- great artistic and peaceful space. I highly recommend Gail's house and Gail herself was the perfect host, leaving everything we might want out for us and excited to give us recommendations if we needed them.

Hi there... Here I am with one of my recent paintings.. Many people find my paintings to be aboriginal in nature. I'm not sure which tribe I am channeling but I have been painting for the last twenty years. My paintings are represented by several galleries. Prior to relocating to Tucson, I lived in Northern New Mexico and facilitated painting for children on the Navajo Reservation near the four corners. I'll add more about me later...I want to get this on the site so I can meet you as soon as possible. I think you'll like it here....It's relaxed and informal. By the way, I have one cat named "New Mexico". Although she has been domesticated for 13 years, she still feels she is feral, and it is unlikely you will get to pet her but you might get a quick glimpse of her.
