Sonnino is a medieval town in the hills and has 7,000 inhabitants. The village is famous for the quality of its oil and olives. It is 100 km from Rome. Tourists have a good choice of shops, bars, pizzerias, restaurants and supermarkets. The old town is characterized by stone streets and alleys. In the restaurants you have to taste the local culinary specialties. In summer there are many folkloric and popular holidays. For those who love to walk there are many beautiful paths: a nice walk is right in front of my house that leads to Monte della Pietà where there is also a good restaurant where you eat well and you spend little. For those who want there are longer routes such as the one that leads to the Mount of Fairies (1050 m) from where you can admire a spectacular view.
Near the beautiful Abbey of Fossanova with its medieval village (6 km from Sonnino) there is the train station of Priverno-Fossanova on the Rome-Naples route; every 50 minutes there is a train that takes you to Rome, Termini Station in 45 minutes.
