The Space

We offer a wonderful home overlooking the Hudson River right across the street from the train to Grand Central station (25 minutes). You will enjoy a warm athmosphere in a beautifully renovated home. We are very well located being only 1 block from the Metronorth train and 20 minute drive from Midtown Manhattan.

Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The home is very warm and quiet and you can come and go as you wish.

There is a large bathroom, which has bath tub with shower,a fully equiped large kitchen and dining room that you are welcome to call your own.

There are some basic breakfast items and feel free to join us for breakfast/lunch/dinner whenever you happen to be there and I am cooking. Also included are laundry, ironing board, and iron and free wireless internet service.

We can provide you with any travel or sightseeing information you need and are always happy to share our knowledge of the area and show you around.

Come stay in our wonderful home that is your home away from home.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Marion & Ellen's home, I only met Ellen for a few minutes at a time as I was working during my stay but she was very friendly and warm when we crossed paths! Their home is beautiful and spacious and has all the amenities you could need. The surrounding area is gorgeous (if a little hilly!) and you can see the Hudson River from the house (really enjoyed eating my breakfast on the porch looking out over the river in the distance!

If you are arriving by train and you have luggage, be prepared to walk some serious steps up to the street and house! Also, if you don't have transport the walk to the nearest shops is pretty intense. Ellen does have plenty of menus for delivery though if you can't get a ride or face the long walk!

All in all a great place to stay and great people to stay with!

  • What I will remember from this stay: A lot of laughter and fun!! Ellen is so nice and welcoming, and have a great sense of humor. I worked at Valhalla, and the bus stops near the house. But the best thing was going into the city in my sparetime, the trainstation is close and its abourt 30 min to Grand Central - Perfect!!

Thank you Ellen, for being such a good host! :)

  • Our stay with Marion and Ellen was nothing short of wonderful. :) We were there for a conference being held in Hastings on Hudson, so the location was fabulous. The train station is literally across the street, so travel to/from anywhere is super simple. Marion was very open and kind, and made us feel at home from the moment we got there. The home is beautiful, and process of booking/coordinating was super laid back and simple. If ever in the area again, I will definitely be staying here!

  • My wife and I stayed with Marion for several days. She is most welcoming, her place is immaculate, and just a few steps from the short train ride into the city. A beautiful, quiet place on the river to relax after a day in NYC!
