About this listing
An apartment hidden down at the bottom of a laneway - the terrace which is the best part is well planted and calm. The living room is lucky to have 2 aspects (south and west) both of which look out onto trees. Lots of artwork is visible throughout.
I rent a bedroom in my apartment. I am also living here.
This is a double bedroom looking out onto planted terrace. This calm two bedroomed apartment is at the end of a small lane which is 3 minutes from the sea behind the Palais de la Mediterranee in the centre of Nice. The windows are south, east and west facing. The terrace is large with two tables for outdoor eating / activities. There is wifi access.
As I have studied the history of European painting, if any guest wishes to be accompanied around any of the many museums and places of historical interest in Nice and/or the surroundings, it would be my pleasure. I enjoy entertaining so there is a good chance of meeting a few locals. I am an english / art teacher if anyone should need any lessons, also in basic french. I will be happy to be your host and am willing to give you any advice/information you should require.
Everywhere but my bedroom. I especially recommend the terrace which remains cool and leafy throughout the summer.
It is a very sought after area in Nice, so close to the sea and the promm enade with a vast range of restaurants, cafés and shops of all sorts. There are beautiful boutiques nearby on rue Longchamps, Alphonse Karr and Paradis.
The tram which goes through Nice is 5 mins away on Palce Masséna. For transport towards the west - Cannes, Vence, Grasse the buses 94, 200 and 500 are to be found near Parc Albert 1°, 5 mins away. The 100 bus going along the beautiful Riviera coast: Beaulieu, Monaco, Menton is 25 mins away. A walk through le Parc du Paillon will bring you there. The stop is between the theatre and the Modern Art Museum. You could also get to the stop by tram.
I appreciate it when guests take off their shoes while in the apartment. After taking a shower they use the windscreen-wiper to clean off the water droplets. It is only when guests stay a week or more that they have access to the washing machine otherwise there are basins for washing clothes by hand. I normally turn off wifi during the night between midnight and 7.30am. unless exceptionally it needs to be used during that time range.
