We enjoyed our stay in Jorges apartment. Unfortunately we didn't meet him, because hi spent his vacation in Argentina. The communication with Jorge was very easy and he arranged a person who was waiting for us to give us the key and further instructions.
The place is quite old but charming and clean. Very close to the Metrostation and Barrio Italia (upcoming neighborhood with many nice shops, restaurants and cafes).
Staying with Jorge was fantastic. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Enormous room with great window and view, nice bathroom and living room, and a small but functional kitchen. Don't really need much else.
I was comfortable at Jorge's. Great bed, good WiFi (which I needed at the time), good public transport and plenty of space. It feels very easy, like a share or mature student household with nice people living there. Jorge was wonderful when my flight from Lima to Santiago kept being postponed... I offered to stay in a hotel once we knew how late we were going to be but he said, Come. Don't worry. Didn't arrive until 2am and he was very welcoming.
Jorge was a wonderful host, - warm and generous. Barrio Italia is a beautiful neighbourhood, and the apartment is lovely, with parquet floors and big windows. My stay was too short!
Jorge es una persona muy amable y simpatico y me caye muy bien. Sentia muy segura en la casa suyo. El me ayudo con mis maletas, y mis preguntas.
Jorge was a wonderful host and just a really nice good person. I felt comfortable right away with him in his house and I am a female traveling alone. He was very kind and understanding and completely flexible with any dilemma, problem, etc. He even held on to one of my suitcases while I travel around Chile. Pretty wonderful.
I arrived last week to Santiago, where am going to stay for about 8 months. I spent the first week in Jorge's place which couldn't have been a better way to be welcomed in the city !! His housemates were also super friendly ^^
Very sad to leave this awesome apartment. The location is perfect with less than a two minute walk to the metro and near parks and restaurants! The room was way more than I expected with cable tv, very comfortable bed , night stand and wardrobe. Jorge is extremly friendly and a great cook and he makes you feel at home the minute you arrive! I highly recommend this apartment the next time your in Santiago. You won't be disappointed!
Very good time in Santiago, thanks Jorge for the help/hints and support!
