We had a wonderful experience at the Hemingway Log Cabin. The cottage was exactly as describe, the perfect amount of amenities with rustic charm. The location overlooking the lake was wonderful.
David and Nancy were kind, friendly hosts, informing us about the area and providing us with a nice welcoming touch.
All in all, a wonderful experience to stay at this rental.
David and Nancy are great hosts and have a wonderful cabin. The view was amazing, and the beautiful lake is fully visible from almost every room. The house was set up with anything you might need - towels, cookware, even DVDs to watch. We would definitely stay here again.
It is a beautiful log cabin, very well designed and decorated with fine personal touches. David and Nancy have done great work with it. Views are extraordinary. We had great time there. We look forward to come back again.
The hosts asked us to meet them at Brew and Brat down the street (so they could drive with us to the house and show us around) and we're so glad they did! We may never have stopped by on our own and we ended up going back there to listen to music and have a local beer one evening during our stay. Once we got to the cabin, we were happy to get the grand your and meet David. The cabin was amazing, clean and there was a bottle of wine, muffins and a cheese tray waiting for us (so nice!). The view was like unlike any other and was great for watching the 4th of July fireworks around the lake while sitting by the fire and eating smores. It also got really dark at night which was perfect for star-gazing (they had a telescope too!). Naples is just down the road with wineries and the awesome Grimes Glen (2 waterfalls!). I would definitely recommend staying here and can definitely see myself renting this cabin again!
Totally relaxing and stress free! I would highly recommend the Hemingway Cabin (beautiful) for anyone who wants a quiet get-away. Each morning we stepped onto the front porch and breathed in the beauty of the lake, hills, and trees. David and Nancy provided everything that we needed for a quick trip to this area: comfortable living room and bedrooms, well-appointed kitchen if you want to cook your own food, and varied outdoor seating areas. Loved it!
During the day, we traveled the Keuka Lake wine trail (a 20 minute drive from Naples) and ate lunch at the Lakeside Restaurant. Favorite vineyard: Deep Root. Owner Ben is friendly and makes the best wine I tasted on my short trip to the Finger Lakes, and with just 5 acres of grapes!
At night, we stayed close to "home" and enjoyed Brews & Brats (live music on weekends), The Brown Hound (great food) and breakfast at The Grainery.
Great Gift Shop - they also have a pub called Brat Brew - a great informal eating location.New York 64 Naples NY 14512
