The Space

We are strategically located, at 5 minutes walking from Termini Station. We can be easily reached on foot from all airport's terminals, both Fiumicino and Ciampino; public buses are nearby and you can reach all places of interest that you find too far to walk to. Nearest Metro A (email hidden); Metro B stop, a little farther. Taxis are available in 5 minutes. The centre of the city's life is within walking distance, without letting you too exposed to its chaos.

On walking distance, you can reach most of the major tourist, artistic and cultural sites, the heart of the city. Just around the corner, for instance, stops the bus to get the Renzo Piano's Auditorium, in twenty minutes/half an hour, depending on traffic. Among the closest cultural attractions, not to be missed, on walking distance: the Bernini's Ecstasy of St Teresa, the Trajan Markets, the National Museum in Palazzo Massimo, the Baths of Diocletian, the MACRO, Piazza Fiume, Piazza della Repubblica, Villa Borghese, Via Veneto, Piazza Barberini and, if you like walking, you can reach Piazza Venezia, the Fori Imperiali and the Colosseum, also (otherwise, is easy to get there by bus or subway). The area is served by all kinds of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pizza restaurants, nightclubs, bars, pharmacies, doctors, banks and ATMs, cafes, all connections to and from airports.

We will be delighted to do everything we can to provide you with all the information and tips you need.

For motorists, besides parking within blue stripes parking lots, throughout the neighborhood, there is a garage for a fee in the next block, where leaving the car. We can't hide this is a problematic area for parking. Other garages are just over away. Unless you have special needs, however, during your stay there you won't need your car!

Modern and essential suite on two levels, on the fourth floor with lift, in a late nineteenth century's building, with high ceilings. A large window lets you enjoy the view on some of the most important monumental trees of the capital. The living area is at the first level (with double sofa bed 140 x 200 cm) and the sleeping area with bath, is secluded on habitable mezzanine (double bed 160 x 200 cm or single bed 80 x 200 cm).
Space perfect for two persons, comfortable for four. A fifth person must adapt to the size of a bit shorter single sofa bed in the sleeping area (75 x 186 cm).

You'll be free to prepare breakfast by yourself, at any time; there are cutlery, kettle, microwave with grill, 40 inch HDTV with digital terrestrial tuner, WI FI Internet ADSL, hair dryer, air conditioning. There is no kitchen or kitchenette. There's a small fridge of 17 litres, with cell for ice, in the cupboard containing the crockery.

The suite is inside of our apartment, but remains independent from our rooms. We have in common only the entrance. For timetables of check-in and check-out, we'll try to meet your needing as much as possible.

Please note: weekly fares indicated are to be considered on a basis of one/two persons. They will be encreased following the number of guests.

  • We had a very pleasant stay at Maria Laura's place. It's the ideal starting point to discover Rome. It is on central location, it is big enough for a city trip, it is clean and Maria Laura is a very attentive host.

  • Maria Laura is a REALLY helpful and nice host!! She is willing to offer great help to the guests before and upon arrival. She also waited for us over an hour (late at night time) coz of the flight delay. She shown her consideration though she must be very tired!! We are sorry about it...

The cozy, extremely clean apartment is exactly same as the photos shown.
Near the Roma Termini station (walk: 5-10min) which is very convenient for us to go to wander around in Rome!!

If you force me to point out a weak point, it maybe about the bath tub. The drainage system in the tub was a bit slow and the hot water provided was not very steady. But I do think it is a common issue in Europe coz the buildings were built many years ago!!!

We have a wonderful time in Maria Laura place. We love it!! Nice to meet you and hope to see you again in the future. Grazie :) :)

    Response from Maria Laura:

    Hello Candy!
I apologize for that inconvenience but you're right. That's a common problem in the whole neighborhood: some days the water pressure is lower than expected and the heater doesn't respond properly. The darainage system depends on the age of the whole ancient building.
Thanks again for coming with your lovely family!

  • Maria Laura was an amazing host to us. We got everything we paid for and more. The apartment looks exactly the same as the pictures. She was so kind that she had food and drinks available for us when we arrived and they lasted us until the end of our stay plus left overs. When we arrived she was so kind and showed us everything about the apartment with detailed explanations on how to use everything. Before our trip to Rome, I had messaged Maria Laura on airbnb with questions all about Rome. She answered all of them promptly and gave great advice on everything. She also provided us with great recommendations for restaurants. I highly recommend Maria Laura's apartment to anyone - families with kids, young adults etc. If you are staying in Rome, stay with Maria Laura, you won't regret it!!

  • Maria was a very experienced and meticulous host who provided very helpful and clear instructions prior to our stay to facilitate our smooth check in. Her apartment is also very clean, modern and well equipped to ensure our stay was comfortable. The breakfast provided was sumptous. The location is also great. Within 10mins walk to termini station and republica metro and there's good connection to buses within 5 minutes (you can use g maps to search for bus routes).

  • This is a very convenient place to stay in Rome. Lots of the main sites and fun areas are in walking distance and of course the mail railway station in around the corner.
The apartment is small but cosy, fit with modern furniture and very clean.
The pictures and description show what you are getting.
Maria Laura is a host you wish to have every time, friendly, informative, helpful and English speaking.
One note, there is no real kitchen facility, bit you are not really planning to do cooking anyway, are you ?

About
Hello everybody! I'm Maria Laura. I work as film industry professional and I'm an independent filmmaker also, with my husband. I'm a very friendly person. I like having relationship with people, especially with nice and polite ones! I use to be very discreet, but I will also be there to provide as much assistance as I can to my guests. My husband and me have been hosted several times as guests by privates, in many places in Europe and US. We always treated their belongings as if they were ours, with the same respect. We don't like arguing: if a problem comes out, we usually do everything is on us to solve it the best way possible. We're expecting the same from our guests! I think smiling is the best way to face life! P.S. If english and french versions have the section "House rules" in italian only, please ask me for a translated versions.
