About This Listing
If you want to discover the real Venice at only one vaporetto stop from S. Marco sq. my apartment is the perfect location…Fantastic neighborhood close to the sea and the heart of this magic town!
Looking for a nice place and a nice neighborough to stay in Venice? My flat is perfect for you ! It is located in the neighborough of Castello, just a short walk from San Marco Square. It is very romantic with an artistic touch, on the last floor of a small building with a lot of windows and a lot of light. The apartment is 58m2, and has 1 sitting/dining room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. In the apartment there is everything you need for a good stay in Venise, Internet WIFI and air- condition included. The nearest waterbus stop is Arsenale, just one stop from San Marco. The neighborough is a real venitian neighborough with the boats selling vegetables and fish coming from the isles every morning, a lot of nice café, and small restaurants.
It’s also a very relaxing place where you can discover the real life of Venice, outside the tourist traps…
How to get to the apartment? Easy! You arrive at the vaporetto stop ARSENALE. From the quay you pass two bridges, direction opposite from S. Marco Square. After the second bridge, Ponte della Veneta Marina, it begins Via Garibaldi. You take it and at about 80 mts, on the right, just before to arrive at the CAFFE' STRANI, you stop at n° 1577. You ring the bell at the ringbell "MUCCIACCIA". Donatella, the lady living there, is the lady in charge of my apartment. She will be waiting for you to give you the keys of my apartment. Once the keys in your hand you just continue to walk some few meters on the Via Garibaldi till you arrive to a narrow street on your right named SOTOPORTEGO DEL PISTOR (between the bakery and the restaurant: Il Giorgione"). You take it and stop at n°1542. My apartment is at the last floor of the building (the one on the right side). At the end of your stay, before leaving the apartment, leave the keys on the table of the sitting room.

The apartment is a no smoking apartment. For any problem Mrs Donatella Mucciaccia could help you for everything you need. She'll wait for you and give you keys when you'll arrive (need to know at what time you plan to arrive at the apartment).
Chiara was brilliant, super helpful and quick to respond. The flat is really sweet, I'd stay again. A short walk from Giardini, Arsenale and San Marco. Lovely neighbourhood, very convenient.
Really lovely apartment in a really cool location, exactly as described by Chiara and very clean and tidy.
Enjoyed waking up to views of the rooftops, having had a quiet and peaceful nights sleep in the large and cool bedroom.
Via Garabaldi is a great little stretch for local bars and restaurants and so close to the gardens and Biennale.
Chiara's keyholder was lovely and very accommodating when I couldn't get the 'knack' of the front door on arrival (there is a dead lock so mind to turn key to the right!)
Don't hesitate in booking!
Lovely clean, light and airy place to stay. Very convenient to Biennale and all sights we wanted to see. Thank you - we will stay next biennale !
I did not meet the host, but the arrangements for collecting the keys worked well. The apartment was in a great location, and it would have been fine for 2 people - but the second bedroom was so small and there was just room for a double futon in it. I would not advise four adults to stay there for that reason, and that made it very expensive for what it was. Also, small things in the kitchen/dining area could have been improved at low cost with one trip to IKEA (glasses, cups etc. which were enough for 4 and matched). This was my first Airbnb experience, and if this is what one should expect I will go back to staying in hotels or apartments as I used to do. One of the selling points was the food for the first meal - but the tomatoes were already mouldy when we got there and we had to throw them away, so it was pointless to have them. It was good to have wifi, but it was slow. In the bathroom there was no shower curtain, so every time you showered the floor got wet, and the pressure of the water was poor. The best thing about the apartment was the location, but I would not stay there again because it is far too expensive for what it is - and four people have such different bedrooms that it is embarrassing for those in the "good" bedroom. Perhaps it was an expensive time to stay in Venice, but I have stayed there many times before and this was the most expensive place per person I have stayed in there - and it was not value for money.
